Student Testimonials
I love the instructors and the over all environment of the studio!
Lots of classes with different time offerings, variety of class choices
Quality instructors, clean space, inviting environment
I love the classes, though I wish there were a C2 that is less hot. I can do the work but it's hard for me when the temperature is much higher than in a C1 class.
The teachers and the flexible schedule.
Everything
Great instructors
It's easy to get there and it's a very welcoming atmosphere
everything!
Staff was very friendly and I really enjoyed the C1 class
The space and great instructors.
I really enjoy how, welcoming, personal and kind all the teachers are. This place makes me excited to make it to my mat every day!
Core Power is fitness-focused yoga, and (as a devoted exerciser and former aerobics and Body Pump teacher), I like that. Some of my favorite instructors (Billy, Erin, Kim) teach at Grand Avenue. Billy brings a depth of knowledge about the eight limbs of yoga that is rare at a Western-focused studio. He also pays attention to form and breaks down the poses more than any instructor I've had there. Erin is a beautiful choreographer.
Great instructors and/resulting in great community.
I appreciate the hands on adjustments, I am able to get deeper in my postures and improve my practice!
Corepower set a welcoming and friendly environment where a newcomer like myself felt comfortable to be myself while practicing yoga.
Instructors are great! Classes are great! Large variety and good times.
I like the flexibility in class offerings - that there is always something that will fit into my schedule. One thing that concerns me, however, is that there are a few teachers that have a tendency to go on and on and on with personal/life philosophy. A little of this is fine, even good, but some instructors do take it a little far, I think, to the point where it becomes distracting in a negative way. For example, I was in a C2 class where the instructor must have spent 5+ minutes talking about the importance of asking for help. It felt a little preachy and went on for so long I almost snuck out. Some of this is great but too much can be a little overbearing. Thanks for listening.
Friendly people. Nice facilities
everything!
It was easy to jump in and not feel intimidated in a class with other people
I love the atmosphere and the mentality of the people at Core Power.
I love the friendly teachers, the clean studio, the atmosphere, the community the Grand Ave studio provides.
I looooove the teachers at CorePower Grand Ave.!
Great teachers, high energy, clean facility
The yoga instructors across all types of classes are the most personal. The teachers are superb in leading challenging and community building classes. I have taken classes at a lot of other CPY studios. Grand has by far the best overall teaching staff..... Amy Ka, Kate, Amelia, Kim. Sophie, Josie to name a few of my favorites!
The atmosphere is welcoming and energetically accepting of every individual that enters it's doors! I just had a conversation yesterday about how wonderful it is to be an active member of such a beautiful community. I often cannot believe I have been a member for such a lengthy period of time. I could not ever imagine not being affiliated with such a talented and reputable cooperation. I thank you all for being a part of my life, it is much stronger physically and spiritually due to your presence in it. Namaste!! First name removed
Extremely welcoming and professional staff. I always feel awesome before and after each yoga session! 10/10 would recommend.
This is my home studio. I go to several other studios in MN and elsewhere, but this is home. I feel a part of the community. I appreciate that instructors know me. Many of the instructors are the best I've encountered anywhere.
The problems with this location are that it's sometimes too crowded. Especially when two classes start and end at the same time (something that could be easily remedied with scheduling). It's also showing some physical wear, especially in the locker rooms.
I also must say that my favorite classes are 1.5s. Throughout CorePower there's been a decrease in the quantity of these classes and I think that's a huge shame. And shortsighted. I would encourage more of these classes.
Also, I did Yogi Training and loved it. I wish CorePower would offer this class much more often. Why only in the spring?
Thanks for asking.
The teaching is great. The atmosphere is welcoming
