I really like all the classes that are available. However, I think there are too many RIP classes and would love to see some more variety. Also, a 9 or 10 Zumba class during the week would be great!
NSC ROCKS
At this point in my life I feel the JCC meets so many of my needs. In the fitness center the array of many different types of exercise classes keeps be involved and motivated. The opportunity to attend lectures, concerts and speaker forums satisfies my intellectual interests. I belong to Women in Sync which is social and active group of like minded women who are interested in having new experiences and trying new things.
When I started my career as a social worker in the 70 s my first job was as a Group Work Supervisor in the Teen Department. It certainly helped shape my professional trajectory by giving me great mentors and opportunities. My three children all attended the Pre school at the Y and my grandchildren enjoy the vacation activities at the J. My husband also participates in the fitness center. In short the JCC is relevant for my who.e family

Wonderful greeting from the front desk, facilities were in great shape and solid workout options and space!
Quentin at the desk is AMAZING. Music is upbeat. The equipment is always in top shape. Never crowded, super clean, great gym with a great atmosphere!

THE HOT TUB!! I always have a goal when I go to the gym. If I reach or go over that goal I sit in the hot tub. I am 66 years old and have severe, chronic back pain. I fight that by staying active, working out, the hot tub and some medical help. I won't be returning to the gym if you don't put in the hot tub.
Everything is good at this location except for 3 things:
1. No paper towels provided on the gym floor. When you exercise there is no towel to wipe off the sweat of you face and it drips on the floor and machines. The pre-soaked disinfectant napkins do not wipe of any sweat, they only spread it all over the machines. It's kinda gross, guys.
2. Air temperature is too hot for exercising. It's just plain hot.
3. Steam room is rather cold. Always. Try Juan Tabo location. That's where they got the temperature set just right.
