Typically I hate filling out customer service surveys, but for once I am really glad to do so. As I just moved to Tucson from Los Angeles this was my first time in your store. In purchasing shoes at other running stores located in Pasadena and Eugene that carry the Brooks line, the difference was I had a really wonderful sales person in Mercedes Chavez. She provided the best service of a shoe or clothing salesperson who ever waited on me.
Mercedes' friendliness, knowledge and smart suggestions made it so pleasant and so above and beyond normal that I even complimented her during my visit. While you had the shoes that I needed and you have a nice store/culture, it was Mercedes that made all the difference.
It used to be that Nordstrom's, particularly in the shoe department, was the gold standard of service. Well, on their best day they could take lessons from Mercedes Chavez.
