Always my #1 recommendation in town
I have been going to La Tavola for years. It is one of my favorite restaurants as it is consistent and everyone there is friendly and extremely knowledgeable (a waiter once told me about the mushrooms that were picked the day before by an organic farmer and FedExed in that day). I have never had a bad meal there and the seasonal menu changes are always amazing.
The people there are so fabulous too- everyone- Alli, Chris at the bar, Chris the manager, Jackie, Sarah... Can’t say enough great things.. its a fav.
The atmosphere, food quality, and service is always curtious and prompt. The restaurant is also very convienent to my home.

The food is always excellent, not horribly fussy, and the service normally is exceptional.
The food is excellent and always a little different. It can be hard to get reservations and we often decide at the last minute to eat out. La Tavola is our first choice. It would be nice if a little preference was given to regulars so we don't always have to plan ahead. Also I made reservations for last night as soon as I got the tomatofest email. I did not think to ask to be inside. Perhaps you should ask that when taking reservations. We had invited guests and it was very hot, and a little embarassing, to be placed outside after we told them how great the place was and how we eat there often.
The menu was outstanding. We dined during Tomato Feast and I had the flat iron steak and my husband had the chicken thighs and every single bite was amazing and flavorful. It was one of the best meals I have EVER had!
The creative aspect of the food, with a focus on fresh. the atmosphere, especially on the patio. the highly trained, professional (knowledgeable and courteous) staff.
The place was packed! They know me by name and got us seated promptly. The food is consistently outstanding and one of my favorite places in town.
The food was exceptional; each dish was delicious. The waiter selected a lovely bottle of wine that was also reasonably price. The waiter and manager were fantastic.
Casual, but nice atmosphere. Excellent service. Inventive menu. Reasonable prices, fun special events (like Tomato Feast). No problem parking in VA-Hi, since you have validated parking right across the street.

The food is excellent!!!! The service is always excellent as well. The ambience is cosy and bustling without ever feeling crowed or rushed. The wine list offeres both high end and medium choices of excellent wine that complements the food. We have never been disappointed in a meal at La Tavola. When we were there on Wednesday evening last week, our server was new but she was just great! We recently tried two new restaurants downtown and were sorely disappointed. My wife and I are "foodies" of the first water. We love to cook in and we love to eat out. La Tavola (and our other favorite Fifth Group Resturant Ecco) are two of the best resturants we frequent. La Tavola could easily hold its own in either Chicago and New York, our other two favorite cities for dining.
Customer service (from management and server-Jeff), Cuisine and atmosphere. Your brunch menu is fantastic! In particular, the french toast.
The food, the ambience, the chef, the amazing waitstaff and bartenders. My only request is to bring back the swordfish piccata!! Thank you for consistently being my favorite restaurant.
Consistently good food. Some of the best pasta dishes in town. One negative note on a recent meal during Tomatofest - the octopus in the salad was grossly overcooked, impossible to chew. Otherwise, another wonderful meal.

Friendly service and good food
The food, the intimate amosphere. and the personal service. It is our first choice to take friends who visit from out-of-town, and, to a person, they all want to go again. I also like the wine list that has excellent Italian reds and a staff who know their wines and can answer questions and make good recommendations.

Everything! But mostly the intimate surroundings, the incredible Italian doshes, and the friendly service.
Upbeat atmosphere. Quality of food and presentation was excellent. Wine was great!
