The food is excellent!!!! The service is always excellent as well. The ambience is cosy and bustling without ever feeling crowed or rushed. The wine list offeres both high end and medium choices of excellent wine that complements the food. We have never been disappointed in a meal at La Tavola. When we were there on Wednesday evening last week, our server was new but she was just great! We recently tried two new restaurants downtown and were sorely disappointed. My wife and I are "foodies" of the first water. We love to cook in and we love to eat out. La Tavola (and our other favorite Fifth Group Resturant Ecco) are two of the best resturants we frequent. La Tavola could easily hold its own in either Chicago and New York, our other two favorite cities for dining.
