The wonderful instructors and the beautiful space on Granville Island.
The staff are friendly and the yoga taechers have a good idea what they are talking about.. The facilities are clean and very well kept. Just a really good atmosphere to spend a few hours. Keep up the good work. I am in the customer service game myself and always tell my staff. Being on par in terms of price and quality only gets you into the game. Service wins the game.
Very relaxed atmosphere. Great instructors. There are options for classes where you don't have to get super sweaty and can go out for dinner afterwards :)
I Didn't feel the studio had a warm inviting atmosphere, although the facilities are nice.
I have only been there once mind you, so I really do not wish to judge the Studio based on one visit, however if one were to ask, that is what I would say to them, that it's seems to be a little bit cliquey ... but that they would have to visit and decide for themselves.
I do not feel an urge to return ..
I do not know what one can do to improve atmosphere ... Studio design could be a little less stark ... Staff could be less hurried on their computer terminals. Especially for a first time visitor, that I was to this studio, to take a few minutes to be shown around the studio, not just to point in which direction to go, felt very impersonal ...
The instructors are well trained and seemingly devoted to the practice of yoga.
There are many different classes and times to choose from.
I like Sea Studio in particular because of the comfortable feeling of coming home that it brings, being welcomed by the nice smiling girl behind the desk, entering the quiet sanctuary with breath-taking and giving views, and then the amazing Yoga masters showing me the way back to OM.

If you are specifically talking about Sea Studio then these are my thoughts:-
Although beautiful location sometimes difficult to find free parking depending on the time of class, and a little further away from my home.
Prefer hardwood floor to carpet, better for hands and feet positioning :)
Otherwise, I highly recommend friends and businesses to Semperviva. Outstanding teachers, very inviting facilities particularly Kits Beach studio, great for gift ideas for friends etc, friendly staff and owners :) You don't need to have the latest lulu clothing on to attend classes, thank goodness :)

I like the atmosphere and the amount of space you have in class. I find that compared to the other multiple-location studio in the area, there is a much more comfortable vibe at Semperviva, especially if you are a beginner.
The location is unparallelled, quiet, beautiful, peaceful, sunny (when it's sunny). The nearness of the ocean is very meditative. The studio isn't that big, either, which makes it more intimate. And there are a number of instructors (Angie I, Bernie, Diana, Joan) whose personalities and teaching styles match the studio, so it's a perfect combination for me and some friends. I have other friends for whom the whole Sea Studio experience is way too laid back :).

It depends upon who is the teacher and how crowded the studio is. I tried yin with Diana the first night, and I know now she's very popular, so the room was way too crowded- maybe 8" between mats. Next, I tried Cameron, twice, until his incessant banter was too much( my daughter told me later that's why she quit going to Semperviva). FINALLY, I found Beverly on wednesday nights. It is pretty late for me to go, but it was my only choice left. I bought 10 sessions of the groupon. I like her and her style, and because it's late, it's not crowded

During your 40 day challenges, limit class size. As a yearly member, it's frustrating during that time period because there is such a push to fill the space! Once class has begun, please don't allow people in. The start of a practice is often interrupted by a late arrival. Remind people to turn cell phones off, or better yet, leave them outside the studio.

The atmosphere is warm, spacious and much more peaceful than your other studios. I have recommended Colin's class to so many people!

Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Instructors are good at communicating the intention and alignment of most postures; non-intimidating class atmosphere. Beautiful view, day or night - very calming.
