More light in the studio. It's a bit basement-like. The entrance is beautiful and open and sunny, though.
Teachers and staff are great. The question is worded in a way that asks for the studio to be rated - the studio as a space is not my favorite for practicing because of lack of windows and washrooms. That's all.
The room was very cold midway through class. It seemed like the air conditioner came on automatically. Nidra class would have been more enjoyable in a warm room.

Implement policy where students must arrive before class starts. Once door is closed &
Class has started if is very disruptive to have students arriving late. If you are by the door you are at risk to get hit by the door
& additionally mats often have to be adjusted in these oversized for this student further disrupting students who make the
commitment to arrive before class starts. If your facility were simply a health club
offering Yoga but your Centre is a full Yoga Studio offering meditation. Yoga & multiple
teacher trainings. Yet you have no policy in place to teach students to arrive on time.
This is only learned if they are turned away when they arrive late. They then
Learn to arrive before class starts and become more responsible. The Semperviva Studios
are then respecting those students who arrive before class starts and committed to teaching the late
Students how to be responsible & respectful by not allowing them in to a class in progress!
This would demonstrate Semperviva's commitment to being a full on Yoga Studio
& not club where people come & go without respect to others!

Excellent instructors, sufficient variety and number of classes, love your Granville Island studio.
The number of class allows me to fit yoga into my schedule regardless of the fact that it is constantly changing. I've never had a yoga instructor that I disliked. I certainly have my favorites and favourite times but I've never had an instructor who I'd attempt to avoid.

Nice studio, great yoga times.
Wish there were other payment options... like a 3 or 6 month 10 pass easy-pay that was cheaper if you committed for the entire time...

The experience is really comforting, seems to raise ones self -esteem, empathy for the entire environment.physical exrecises are relaxing, refreshing, rejuvenating.

Don the trainer was great. It was just the studio was very stuffy with little light and no good window.
The washroom door was in the middle of class.
I have always found the front desk staff very welcoming, they also gave me good advice when I first started attending as an absolute beginner. I have tried lots of different classes and all the teachers have been superb, they all have very different styles (which I love as it keeps things fresh) but without exception they all take care to ensure that people at all levels are welcome and no-one feels intimidated. The class schedule is well structured and I always manage to find a class that suits me no matter what time of day. The studio space itself is always well looked after and is an attractive, welcoming environment to practice in. I have already mentioned Semperviva to friends who are new to the area as the place to go and would gladly do so again.
Whole I understand your pricing is competitive, yoga is expensive.
I like the introductory offer and the convenience (clossenes to my home)
teachers are very good. water, blocks, etc are easily accessible. there are many options that fit my schedule.
my concern is that sometimes the mats in the pile of extra mats smell.
Atmosphere not as nice as sea, but using more candles would help.
Washroom packed before class, space to crowded and smelled unpleasant. Good teacher and vibe but too many people in a small, seemingly congested class.
Not have so many empty mats crowding the floor space :)
Friendly staff, knowledgeable instructors
It's not you but the construction/roadwork noise right outside the window of the studio. Obviously you have no control over city roadwork, but a cautionary note on the schedule would be appropriate. I took a class on Thursday morning at 10:30 and it was very hard to concentrate. I couldn't hear the instructor's voice, and really had trouble following without constantly looking up to see what she was doing. I normally don't have to do this at all.
I won't go to the Kits Beach Studio again until that roadwork is done. Please post that information somewhere on the schedule.
