On 7/1/2020 Eric Engleman (10747) came to our house and treated our trees and bushes. He was supposed to be here last Friday but due to an equipment malfunction wasn't able to complete his service call. He called and left a message on our phone explaining what had happened and what I had to do to reschedule. I called TruGreen and a very nice young lady rescheduled my service sometime within the upcoming 2-3 days.
Eric performed the treatment at 8:36 AM while these 2 retired folks slept through it. I noticed the little sign in the front yard once we got up. When I checked my cellphone I saw several message notifications of Eric being enroute, arriving, and completing the service. Later in the day my wife retrieved the service report that Eric had placed on our front door handle. I read it later on in the day.
The top section described the procedure that was to be performed. I then read the comments about social distancing and no knock treatment. The next section, "What I did and what to expect", stated that Eric inspected our yard to address additional concerns. Then it said "No products were applied". I thought "with the amount of money that we paid for a whole year's treatments and he did nothing!" I tapped the link on my cell to go to your company's site. I saw a 5 star rating and immediately tapped the "1 star" (poor) rating and left a rather not nice comment.
Then I continued to read my treatment report and noticed that at the bottom was a list of several treatments for insects and fungus on our trees and shrubs. Flashback! I had just given Eric a bad rating and I immediately went back to the site to correct it or enter another rating but I couldn't. There it is, that rotten feeling in the pit of my stomach when I realized that I had just screwed up BIG TIME!
Eric called me the morning of 7/2/2020 and inquired as to the reason for the rating. I apologized right off, and explained what I had mistakenly done. Also, that I was pleased with his performance and that I do hope that my hastily rating entry didn't have any ill effects on his record and employment status. I felt so bad for jumping the gun and giving him a bad rating when all along it should have been a 5 star rating.
I am truly sorry for my poor rating that I initially gave Eric. Please do not put this on his record and if there have been any electronic notations, please remove them from his record.
Eric, I again want to tell you just how sorry I am for my hasty rating. I should have read your whole report before going of half cocked as they say. I am satisfied that you did an excellent job in treating our trees and shrubs. We look forward to more professional treatments from the TruGreen Team Members.

Greg has been amazing following up with all the issues caused by a bad tree and shrub application from few years ago. Our grass was completely killed all around the perimeter, 4 shrubs died, and Greg had yard seeded and stayed in touch until all ok. I wouldn't still be with TruGreen if Greg were not involved. Thanks

Technicians are courteous and professional. My one suggestion, and I called the office to mention this, is to have an optional program that simply makes your lawn greener. I may be mistaken, but I thought iron did that for the lawn. If so, maybe Trugreen could start optional applications that simply apply iron. Or, maybe Trugreen could periodically test the lawn ph and simply adjust the lime for that ph level.
Always willing to come out an extra time if I have any concerns.
