They were very helpful getting the best help for my son in math. Despite our hectic schedule and distance to travel to get there, they worked with us. My son was able to understand his math and do well on his tests.
They always care and try to find a time to help my kids. My one son was flunking algebra. He came and studied with Brian on sundays and went from an F on a test to a 96 on the next one. The teacher accused him of cheating and made him take another test. He got a 94 on it. The teacher called me and I told him he studied with Brian at Sylvan.
The one on one work that my daughter got helped her to grow so much in her reading skills! She was able to improve and learn without feeling embarassed by other kids in the room! We paid for the individual tutoring service which allowed the tutors to pinpoint the problem our daughter was having with Math. Although she could always get the "A" in her math class, we could tell that it was too difficult for her, and a struggle to do well. Because we knew that she was a very smart girl, and she should not be having so much trouble, we willingly paid for private tutoring with the hope that Sylvan could figure out how to help her. Sylvan tutors worked with her and helped her in so many ways that a typical classroom setting is not equipped to handle. Last week, her Trig teacher told her that he did not know what had happened to her, but he could tell that math was not as difficult for her as it had been in the past (he had been her math teacher for 3 years). She then told him about her private tutoring with Sylvan. We are very happy that we spent the money, although it was a hardship for us, and we were not sure what the results would be.
