Enthusiasm for the kiddos

The instructors and environment helps instill confidence in the students. In addition to the quality music instruction and introduction to good music of the last fifty years, the kids learn to appreciate each other for their different skills.

Our whole extended family loves SOR. My grandson really enjoys learning to play the drums and making friends with the other children in his rehearsel group. It is an exceptional experience all around. I am very happy that we found the Plano SOR!

Love the Glenn works with Archer on what he likes. He is always so encouraging and gives updates after every lesson!!

I take voice lessons at Plano
I’m an adult student and it’s not easy to learn vocals as an adult but Melissa is funny knowledgeable and gives very accurate feedback that I simply could not get through you tube videos.
I also like other instructors who have subbed for her

We switched to Plano this past summer and it's been a good fit for our son. He has a really good guitar teacher in Jason. He's learning more theory, helpful variations, and songwriting. Jason always follows up with good notes and is very supportive of our son. Couldn't be happier with this relationship. The school staff are friendly and helpful. Shannon and Lyndsay are quick to respond and help with info or problem-solving. Keith's direction of the summer show was good...the kids were solid both shows and they had fun. The group and teachers encourage my son to have more fun on stage as he tends to be the less demonstrative kid in most groups. Now he's literally "let his hair down," moves more and seems to have more fun performing. He has good friends in the school and that helps as well. If I have suggestions, it's more on the support side of getting kids involved in fundraisers and such outside of SOR. Since Plano doesn't have a house band, that's more difficult. My son has his own band, so he plays more often in DFW, but he could use workshops on topics like, how to run and check sound, the music "business," how to get gigs, promoting his band, songwriting etc....I can get those elsewhere, but wish Plano offered something more along these lines, especially in the summer. I've appreciated all of the "professionalizing" of systems over the past couple of years as that's helped both Plano and Dallas improve communications.
