Our 12 year old has really enjoyed his summer lessons. He learns different techniques to give him a strong sense of confidence going into the 7th grade. They also provide a fun reward system that keeps hlit fun and keeps him motivated.

Mathnasium is great for keeping kids on track over summer. The teachers are really good with kids and the administrators are responsive and detail-oriented. I never have a problem with scheduling or make-ups.

My two sons are attending this summer. 80% of the time they attend live and 20% virtually. They definitely get more out of the live sessions but with summer schedules - sometimes virtual is necessary to keep up with it. Both my sons have stopped giving me a hard time about attending - they actually enjoy going and dont think of their mathnasium sessions as school or boring or work. LOL The 'tickets' and prizes are just the right incentive for them and the tshirt wearing double points is genius as they remind ME its time for their t-shirts before each session!!
The instructors at Mathnasium are very attentive and my son always enjoys his sessions there. His classes at Mathnasium always prove helpful for the school year.

Both of my daughters (Grades 5 and 7) LOVE Mathnasium. They find the instructors helpful and engaging. The material is relevant and right on-level to what they are learning in school and helps to fill gaps. They look forward to attending each week and Mathnasium has boosted their confidence in and enjoyment of math. I would highly recommend!

We have been AMAZED by the difference in our son's confidence after attending sessions -- he loves math now and even asks us to ask him math questions at home, so he can show us his "math thinking." My granddaughter is 11 years old and in the fifth grade in a public school. There is no question that Mathnasium has been a wonderful assistance to her, giving her confidence in her mathematical abilities.
At 10 years old, my daughter has found new confidence in math. When she began at Mathnasium, her assessment for 4th grade work revealed that she had only known 70% of the work she should have known. After completing the 4th grade missing blocks, her new test revealed that she was at 98%.
She is so proud of herself and was very enthusiastic to begin her 5th grade work. She thinks big and is already thinking about 6th grade math, because she believes that by the time she is ready for 6 grade, she will have little difficulties in settling into the program.
Because of her experience with Mathnasium tutoring, math has become her favorite subject.
Grace (2nd Grade) is steadily improving and becoming much more confident with her math skills in school-- her teacher recently wrote specifically to tell me that.

My son loves going to Mathnasium it improved his math skills and his self confidence in math.
My son only just started with Mathnasium so I cannot comment on his experience yet, but my daughter previously had a good experience. She attended for 2 years in 4th and 5th grade and it really helped build her basic skills and confidence level. It would be helpful for NYC locations to provide additional tutoring that focuses on SHSAT prep. I understand that as a national model, this may not make sense, but it is so critical for NYC students. My son will leave have to leave Mathnasium later this year in order to attend tutoring sessions for SHSAT this year and next.
