I love the rock concerts at the end of their week of camp!
This was such a well run camp. It has triggered an interest in music for my 8 year old. We are looking to enroll in something longer term. Can’t see enough positive thing about it.
I appreciate that school of rock is very beginner friendly and encouraging to anyone that wants to learn music. As well as providing lessons that aren’t so strict and not like traditional music lessons you can learn all your favorite songs.

Great experience of performing
I am so happy I have found School of Rock. While it started as an activity for my children, it turned into something that I enjoy as well.
Both my son and daughter have been students at the school of rock. I joined with them and the idea of having music as a common interest we can share.
While busy raising a family and the stressors that come with it, I find that I really look forward to the time that I get from having lessons and being involved in the adult band. It is my time to do something I love. Hopefully, another benefit is to spark and continue my childrens’ interest in music as well.
I grew up taking classical piano lessons. I really like that the adult lessons at SOR involve playing music that we personally enjoy right from the get go. It’s great that each member in the adult band is allowed to choose a song they want to perform. I enjoy learning other genres and styles of music too. I like that as an adult student, the instructors really listen and cater to what I am interested in learning rather than just “teaching from a book” or one certain method which is how I learned piano growing up.
One of the best benefits is the ability to also learn and play multiple instruments. I started by playing piano in the band and learning drums for the first time. I am now having my first vocal lesson this week. I like that the school has been great about being flexible with makeup lessons and can always find a time that works for all of us.
Lastly, I really enjoy the comradery among the band group members. It is wonderful to have similar minded people with like interests coming together to enjoy and produce something we love.

Teachers are wonderful and kids learn a tremendous amount in a small amount of time. Would like for the younger groups to get to perform at a venue rather than the school though. Understand why it happened at first during covid but would like them to experience performing somewhere else.
