Our daughter loves School of Rock - she has made friends there, she looks forward to her individual classes and band practice sessions and all of this encourages her to practice on her own. I also think she has gained confidence from participating in the live performances.
What I love about the School of Rock is the attention paid to the children. They have take my daughter from meek little wallflower to the little girls that wants to sing Gerorge Michael's Carless Whisper while drumming!

School of Rock is the best place in Pittsburgh for young musicians to learn how to play a variety of musical instruments, learn to read and write music and hone in on their vocal abilities. The instructors are highly skilled and are truly invested in our young musicians’ success in the rock world! We are lucky to be apart of the SOR community and family!

I love that the lessons are structured specifically for kids. I can't wait for my son to be able to take advantage of joining the actual band as he improves. Mr. Jon is fantastic!

My daughter has thrived in the voice and piano lessons. We originally sought out the program due to speech issues she was having and with the help of voice lessons she is doing so much better with her speech. She also has become more confident and sure of herself. She has now moved onto piano and enjoys going to class each week. She worked and continues to work with Ms. Sarah. Ms. Sarah is so patient with her and she learns so much each lesson. Between her classes and going to shows to see the House Band, our daughter has had a blast learning and growing with music and with School Of Rock!
We love that you allow the kids to practice on real instruments with songs that they would know in pop culture.
The Rock Rookies program is engaging and fun. No pressure, just learning and having fun. We really appreciate the instructor, Josh. He’s patient, helpful, and does his best to keep the kids involved. We would definitely recommend the program to others.
Individual and group development. Great teachers/ musical mentors for the students. The kids learn not only how to be good musicians, but also good band members. Having. Great experience (our son has been attending for @ 5 years).
School of rock has been very accommodating to our schedule. We have had to postpone or change our times and we have never had a hard time.
