I like the concept of learning to play in a rock band versus the typical lessons structure. My daughter seeks out time to practice on her own, no encouragement needed. The enthusiasm it generates is priceless. I also like the "band" combined with the solo lessons for individual focus. The dual approach will accelerate her progress.
We love SOR! My son counts down the days to each lesson and practice, and he's already learned so much. His private instructor Jessie, as well as the group instructors Claudia and Anthony, are always quick to praise his efforts and accomplishments as well as offer constructive criticism. My son looks forward to practicing at home too so he can show them what he's learned. We couldn't be happier!
School of Rock has been absolutely amazing for my daughter. She has been with School of Rock for less than a year and has progressed so quickly from learning to sing to singing backup vocals in her first show to lead vocals and keyboard in her second show. Next up: guitar! Her skills and her confidence are soaring. But even more than that, School of Rock has given her a community where she feels she can express herself, where she feels safe, and where every kid belongs. I would rate it higher than a 10 if I could - its a special place.
The instructors work at the level of the student and encourage and help the student to get better in a comfortable achievable time frame that is always motivating to the student!

We love the confidence it gives our son. He wanted to quit before his first performance because he was so nervous about performing on stage. Ray and Sue encouraged him to try "just one more show" and told us to trust the process. He's now rehearsing for his 5th show and loves SOR. He also has a blast with the friends he's made there. Students have an immediate opportunity to apply the knowledge/technique learned at their lesson in a rehearsal environment with peer accountability. Learning is much more affective and enjoyable!
School of Rock offers kids a great opportunity to learn music, socialize, and perform in front of live audiences. The instruction is designed to make learning music fun and provide quick gratification --kids are up and playing songs they enjoy quickly.

Small group classes. Instructor is very patient and interacts very well with her students. For my son who enjoys Rookies program he enjoys learning in a fun environment.

Everyone at this school of rock is very hands on with all the children. My son just started the Rock 101 program and I am very impressed with his progress thus far. The teachers show a genuine interest with teaches and personal interests. Couldn't be more happier.
