Very encouraging atmosphere, instructors are extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to students. Instructors go out of their way to keep parents informed of changes and student progress. Great, fun place but professional and well run at the same time!
Our granddaughters LOVE THE SOR, the individual lessons, & the ability to rock out with their band!
My son is enjoying it, really loves the drums, said he played the bass and a few days later said he forgot he did Piano too.... but I really know nothing about what he is doing or learning. It would be nice for parents to see something or get even just an update on what they are doing in the class... He said he could bring in an instrument, does he need to, should he etc. Im only getting feedback from a 6 year old and that is a two minute pulling teeth convo LOL.... again he loves it and I love the hour to wait and goof off, but just would like to be informed a little!
I love that the programs bring together individual development as a musician while fostering the skills necessary to perform as a member of a group.
The rookie program is doing a great job of sharing a variety of instruments and types of music. It has also increased his general interest in music and playing instruments at home. He picks up his play guitar and sits down at his keyboard much more often since starting the class.
I love that they help kids gain confidence in their musical abilities. I also love that the program introduces them to different kinds of rock music.
What I love about this program is the kids learn songs and have a goal in mind their end of season performance!!

so far the lessons are great and the 101 is giving the confidence my daughter needs to play with others. she has made new friends with like interests. at 13 it's a hard age to find where you fit into the world and this program is helping her with that
The kids are exposed to and learn to play music they would never listen to otherwise that even parents enjoy. It instills confidence and an appreciation of music in general, as well as being part of something bigger. It’s been an amazing experience so far. My daughter loves it.
Good schedules and structure for musicians. Goal of the final performance sets a good deadline.
The SOR is awesome! The owners truly care about their students and their love of music. When my son hits the stage, he comes alive!

I like that instead of just taking a one on one lesson the students get to experience playing in an actual band. The experience of playing with other musicians is what rocking out is all about. I also like the range of music they are exposed to and that they are given the history of the music and the musicians. Learning where the inspiration for the music came from and the struggles and triumphs of the bands gives these students a better appreciation for music.
Last but not least, the owners, directors, and instructors are all invested in this program. They know the students very well and they are genuinely interested in them. They know each students strengths and weaknesses and they are able to bring out the rocker in each of them. The owners and staff at School of Rock are the biggest and loudest cheerleaders for each and every student and they are just as proud of my child's accomplishments as I am.

Love the exposure to various instruments and elementary musical education provided in the Rookies program. My little rocker girl is always looking forward to lessons!

This is such a great program! My daughter has always loved to sing, but has struggled with a lack of confidence. This program has sparked something inside her and she is really coming out of her shell.

My son absolutely loves SOR. He has been a student for several years. The teachers, friendships and can’t forget the performances keep him coming back. SOR is more than a music school. Performing builds confidence and self-esteem. The students are non-judgmental and they all get along with one another. Prior to SOR he was somewhat of a shy kid. Now he is outgoing and will talk to anyone. I am forever grateful to all of his teachers, Sue and Ray for all they do for my son and the other SOR students.
