Customer Testimonials
My son absolutely loves this school! He doesn’t typically relax completely in most environments (because of his autism.) He is always so relaxed and silly and happy to work hard on his music. The staff is amazing with all of the students and their parents.
Th instructors are amazing. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating.
Tudo! Os professores, o método, os ensaios, shows em eventos e de temporada!

Incredible instructors, great feedback, and the kids have FUN
Methodology, we can see how quickly Isa has learned and evolved. She keeps motivated, it mean that the classes are fun.
The programming at SOR is the exceptional. The music group choices are well edited and also give families scheduling flexibility. The staff are kind and welcoming as well as always helpful. The teachers are excellent and have helped my son develop his knowledge of music and beyond. Thank you to Bob, Mario and my son’s personal mentor, Josh Plath.
Randy is amazing and the rest of the staff is extremely supportive.
Friendly environment, non-judgmental, my teacher Jose gives positive feedback, I have learned a lot about becoming a good musician.
Coaches and owners are so passionate about what they do and make sure that it’s edutaining (educational and entertaining). Keeping kids engaged and striving to become better, and instilling accountability and stage confidence.
Great instructors. Lots of fun.
How everyone gets a chance to perform regardless of their experience.
I like the format of learning, the personal lesson and learning alongside band members.
My mark isn't a 10 because the issue I have with the band meetings is- if a kid is on drums, but you need to let another kid do a drum song: the child gets passed around to other instruments.
When the kid is asked to sing, for example; they're not taught how to properly sing and use their voice. They're just placed there.
Unless I want to use a "makeup" lesson on a voice lesson...my kid is off of drums and singing to the best of her ability only.
I love it! Thursdays are the happiest days of my week because I get to see the guys at SOR and play the DRUMS! All of the instructors are super knowledgeable and great but Clint is the best! He’s well versed in so many musical styles and is great at breaking things down. I also like that they’re so flexible and accommodating to my ever-changing work schedule. Great times!
Teachers that listen to your concerns and then demonstrate what is needed to better your playing skills
The support and genuine concern for the students' success is evident in everything the staff at SoR do.
We are very happy with the program.
The programs a re a compelling way to encourage kids to 'buy ino' learning by doing music collaboratively and with the scaffolding of existing songs from the last 50 years
It builds confidence in children.
The School of Rock staff are so friendly, patient and kind. It's really helped our shy 8 year old to build confidence and find an activity that she enjoys and can excel at.
Friendly staff--nate, very kind and easy to work with.
A qualidade dos professores
How open are teachers and instructors to explore and teach you different styles of rock.
Our daughter found School of Rock during the first year of the pandemic and the program has been a lifesaver! The teachers and office staff have whole-heartedly supported her over the past several years and helped her thrive. She explored vocals, keyboard, bass, guitar, and drums; learned to be part of performing bands, played many genres of music, worked on emotional challenges and found her passions. She is heading to college and thinking about a path in music education. The school helps these students become part of a community -- growing as musicians and amazing human beings. We are grateful for School of Rock Berkeley!
The kids are learning and having fun at it.
Se aprende a través de canciones que te gustan y tocando en grupo lo cual lo vuelve divertido y emocionante
