Student Testimonials
I do feel like the studios are starting to age a bit, and I'd like to see a little more personality and a little less robot in the instructors, but I think CP is a great studio with great classes.
The instructor was very good and very friendly!
I love how there are a variety of classes offered and the teachers are all exceptional. The atmosphere in the studio is very zen so I can really focus on my practice and get the most out of the classes. Love it.
This was my first time every trying Core Power, and the instructor (Marcus) was very welcoming from the minute I walked in the door and registered to the end of class. The studio was clean and big, and one of the better studios I've been in. Overall, it was a very positive first experience with Core Power.
The room was a good size and had two different walls of mirrors which helped for double checking posture . The instructor was patient and helpful
I love the cleanliness of the studio. I am always greeted happily and with a smile. The yoga is fantastic, easily my favorite studio in Chicago.
This studio was nice and large, and one of the cleanest corepower I've been too. The women's locker room layout was a little funky though. It was hard to get around people, especially in and out of classes. But the studios were beautiful.
Teachers are awesome!
Great instructors!
Awesome class and friendly staff
Instructor was fantastic :)
Everything great studio!
love cpy and how involved the old town studio is within the studio and that they always have special classes going on.
I love the classes and instructors at Old Town
Robyn the manager is one of the best. She has been able to put together a great team.
instructor was very welcoming and very much enjoyed the class
Marissa and Molly are great. Lots of space in studio. Clean. Runs on time.
Great workout and instructors!
CorePower has a great staff that is welcoming and friendly and also very knowledgeable when it comes to all things yoga. My only areas of room for improvement would be the locker room: there is very little space to change and very little space to store your belongings. Of all of the other CPY studios I have visited, Old Town leaves the most to be desired by far, unfortunately. It would also be nice if the studio carried Lululemon products, like some of the other studios do.
Yoga Sculpt was worth every second. Loved the endurance concept. Great and understanding service.
Good class friendly staff
Classes are awesome/challenging. Staf is friendly.
Great class times and well trained instructors!
The atmosphere was great, the instructor/ manager was extremely good and helpful! The free classes we received were a real bonus- we would have been happy to pay!
I love the Yoga Sculpt classes at Old Town. They're always different and challenging in the best way!
Fantastic atmosphere. Calm space with just the right amount of shopping available. Mollie was welcoming and supportive; I loved the music, too.
I loved Vic! He was an awesome Core Power instructor at the Old Town location. I've been to the CorePower class at the Roscoe, Lincoln Park, Lakeview, and Gold Coast locations, but Vic has been my favorite instructor by far. He was so high energy and hysterical. I just wish he taught the class at other times during the week, because the 5:30pm is hard for me to get to because I'm coming straight from work.
The staff is very kind and pleasant. As someone that is new to yoga I have never felt intimidated or self conscious.
My first two classes have truly been the best yoga experiences I have ever had. I never felt more comfortable in other yoga studios.
I like that it's rooted in Buddhist philosophy and the instructors bring that piece of it in, but it's also just a good workout and they make sure we're working our muscles as well. And I like the environment of the Old Town studio -- it feels inclusive and relaxed. I'm less of a fan of the Gold Coast location, which feels like a bit of a singles scene, and I don't see many 40+ folks like myself. It's also more cramped and the elevator is a hassle.
