I love Viktoria. Her classes are excellent. The Hillcrest site is a bit small but the instructors are great so it is always on my list for a weekly class.

I have been a student of CPY for over 7 years and love what you have to offer.
I want to bring to your attention a situation that happened last night at the Hillcrest location yesterday March 2ND before Amys HPF.
The time before class starts are very peaceful and quiet, as everyone relaxes, sets up, stretches etc.
Some classes are crowded, some aren't, some students are new and need guidance on studio etiquette etc
However, the situation here is with the new manager of the studio, Grace.
I understand her intention of asking us to make 4 rows to fit all the students in, how she went about communicating that was actually quite rude and condescending. Grace barged into the quiet room with an extremely LOUD voice and some attitude behind it saying , "come on guys, you know the drill, make 4 rows."
It was communicated in a very condescending way and I felt like I did something wrong, felt punished and stupid to be somewhat yelled at...somewhat treated like an adolescent.
This completely ruined the meditative vibe!!
Other teachers communicate this message in a much better compassionate way. Thank goodness Amy is such a wonderful instructor and the vibe was soon reinstated. She may not have even known this was the energy she was walking into as everyone was well area and uncomfortable at the extreme Contrast.
After Grace's commanding requests, there was lots of akwardness as everyone jumped up startled from their peaceful place. I overheard a few other students discussing that incident and it hasn't been the first time they witnessed it with her.
I know she means well, and I did no want to leave this message publically or on yelp because I'm a strong advocate for CPY. I trust that you all handle matters like this well and I'm expressing this to only help maintain the extraordinary peaceful vibe CPY strives for.
