I love that there are a few staples (the mushroom ragu tagliolini is one of them, thank goodness!) but that the menu always changes with the seasons. I love the staff and the cozy atmosphere. Most of all, I love that I've never had a bad meal or experience at La Tavola so it's a go-to for me when friends and family are in town.

When I first moved to Atlanta six years ago, I didn't know anyone or anything about this city. It took some time to find my favorite places. La Tavola was one of those places I found while walking around the neighborhood, in and out of shops. The menu caught my eye posted on the outside the building. Yum, is all I could think of as I looked over the menu. Shortly, there after I found myself sitting with co-workers in one of the booths. The mushroom ragu was the one thing I wanted in front of me - along with a glass of wine. It was perfect. The restaurant was comfy and welcoming. The staff were knowledgable about the menu and wine list. So for the past six years, I have taken good friends there and ended up chatting over wine until way past close. For me the restaurant makes Altanta feel like home - it's my go-to spot for fun with my friends, comfort when the day doesn't seem to want end and finally it's a place where a savory string of pasta makes the whole world better.

The ability to take great ingrediants and prepare them simply and correctly! There are alot of Italian restaurants in Atlanta and they seem to want to be creative on the menu but they fail in executing. I have never had a bad meal or service at La Tavola. The dishes are always presented well and are always tasty. I like the the option of the small serving of pasta, because it allows you to sample more of the menu. The wine list is well put together and has several reasonable choices. Both of the lady bartenders are great at mixing perfect cocktails and they provide great service as well if you fail to make a reservation and eat a meal at the the bar. Last Saturday we had an excellent meal. We had the "La Grassa" prix fixe. The Duck mortadella and pork cheeks were delicious. The smoked potatoes with the Monkfish were special too. The Parmesan Panna Cotta was savory and sweet. Sidney, our server, was great too and made a nice suggestion to try the poached apricot tart.

Alli and Chris always give impeccable service at the bar and I can count on their knowledge of both the wine selections and the menu items. I am never disappointed with their recommendations. Always an enjoyable experience.
The atmosphere, the food is incredible and the location
The food is excellent and the service lovely. We have only eaten there twice, but after our dinner last weekend we said that any time we are in town (we live in Conncecticut), eating at La Tavola is a must!
