Great service from calling to book all the way through move day.
Booking was easy and the representative was very detailed and explained all the costs and what to expect.
On the day of the move, they showed up on time and worked hard all day. When the movers arrived at the new place they helped get the big furniture in the location I wanted and were so friendly and helpful.

Great experience. Relatively affordable. They disassembled and reassembled furniture without paperwork guides needed. No damage noted either.
The crew arrived on time, four of them. A short time later two more guys showed up. Loading the truck took about two hours. Very fast and efficient.
Unloading was only two guys. Sam and Julian worked very hard, and helped me move my couch twice to put it where I eventually wanted it. There was water on several of the boxes, determined to be from the rain the night before. A small hole in the truck allowed water to intrude.
Sam immediately notified Meathead Movers of the water leak. I later contacted Rick, who has been very helpful in telling me how to report the damage.

The movers move incredibly fast and they are very friendly and careful. This is the third time that I've used them in the last few years (and honestly, hopefully the last time.... :), and I've had nothing but good experiences with this company. It also feels good to help students earn money while getting their education!

The movers left dings in my walls and scratched my laminate flooring. I had much faith in them, they were nice men but not very professional. They did not show up in all moving clothes and two of the three men did not have tools.
The move took way longer than it should have. There were two guys moving some cabinets, a desk and a bunch of boxes not even the equivalent of a one bedroom apartment and we were charged for six hours. Wow the guys moving were very nice and very professional. They were also very slow.
Everyone was professional. They were on time and did a great job!!! Michael A and Blake S made sure that I was happy with the move and reviewed all the paperwork with me.

I’ve used meathead movers twice previously and it was a great experience.
This go around it seemed like the two employees moving the boxes and items to the truck were very slow. The main individual working in the apartment was fast and did a great job.
However, at the end of the move, they still left quite a few items that I thought would have been taken. This included bassinet, chair, and other items.
They started just after 10am and by the time the truck was loaded it was already almost 430pm.
Also, I don’t believe I understood properly about clothes being taken as I had them wrapped in plastic bags expecting them to be taken but they didn’t. Some of this might have been miscommunication on my part, but after they finished moving, it took my wife another 5 hours to move out of our apartment due to items being left behind.
Overall the employees were kind, we were both just disappointed with the end result.
Also, we have metal shelving that have plastic clips, and we found those strewn around the apartment complex. They were popped off and it’s not like they didn’t notice they fell off because I found a pile of 4 near a wall, meaning they just left them. And when they were almost done unloading they just decided to dump it in our living room instead of putting it where my wife had requested.
I liked that it was easy and fast. They fit me in right away. The movers were friendly and where hard workers. They worked with me.
I’ve used your company 4 times in the past few years and I have been very impressed in the past. I’ve given extremely good tips to your workers too, as I did this last time.
This time was the first time I used the packing services. You charged me for 25 boxes and said more could be added.
I was never advised about the size of those boxes. A couple of guys showed up and 25 boxes were quickly filled. A glass was dropped and broken (no big deal) but many items (silverware etc.) were left in drawers and never packed. I asked that items I had in other boxes be repackaged and I would pay for that. No attempt was made to do that. When I arrived to my new home, I opened those small boxes (about 90% of the boxes provided) and was shocked: paper packaging took up as little as 50 to 90% of the box. I opened a couple of boxes to find hardly anything in them. Not only is that a complete waste of paper, but I felt conned. There is an ethical line between putting enough wrapping in to protect goods, and then overdoing it to fill up tiny boxes to get the job done quicker or charge more. And I was a prior client that would have paid for more boxes if needed. I didn’t really care. I just wanted the job done and didn’t want to stress about the move. Instead, the packers left and after the movers picked up the items, I had to hire more people to meet me to do a second move. Not cool.
Movers? Also subpar. They didn’t take items I had referenced such as a ping pong table and a massage chair. They filled up the truck with many paper filled boxes (thanks to the packing guys) and left. They were polite and very nice. I tipped them all $100 a piece as a result.
I am inclined to write a pretty scathing review right now, but haven’t, as I’ve had positive experiences in the past. It’s why I keep using your company. But this time was terrible. I don’t appreciate having to pay more money paying other people to pick up the stuff I expected your company to handle, nor the annoyance I had to deal from the buyer of my home that stuff was still there: he was due to pay me $1200 towards an AC repair I had paid, but I let him off that as a result of your company not getting the job done. My choice and I’ll eat it. But you guys put me in that position. Sad, because you used to be really good. No plans to ever use you again, and still mulling over reviewing you. I’m not looking for any money or refunds: I make enough. Just feel like I got conned and other customers should know about it.
