Friendliness, good instructors, cordial staff, excellent classes.
I've been a participat in the arthritis class for 18 plus years and will continue as long as possible. Have alto membership. Have also recruited numerous others. The Y is my "go to" for activity.
there's nothing we didn't enjoy.
The facilities are comfortable and lovely, but the cardio is always way too hot. I really wish that youd turn the AC on in there. One puny fan with a sign below it saying that we have to ask staff to for us is not adequate. After running on a treadmill for 30 to 60 minutes, it feels like I’m in the sauna. It is awful. Apart from this, the staff are lovely, the facilities are well maintained and never overly crowded and I am totally happy.
The Central Y has so many classes to choose from and there is a genuine sense of community there.
I enjoy my arthritis class in the pool and have for over 20 years.

I enjoy my trainer, Jenn, and most of the classes.

My experience with the YMCA spans five decades. My daughter learned to swim at the Y when she was about 5 years old. I have always been active and was a runner for many years. But when I developed arthritic in my back, I could no longer run. I had to find a new form of exercise that I could do without the strain on my back. My solution was swimming. When I retired in 2004, I began swimming laps three days a week. Although the pandemic threw a wrench in my swimming schedule I swam again after the pool opened. Then there was a few months where I could not swim because I fell down and tore a muscle in my shoulder. I tried several of the Y's exercise classes, but none of them worked for me. Thank goodness I am now able to swim again. The bottom line is, because of the many exercise, yoga, balance and classes for seniors, I am aware that the Y has something for anyone, any age. I have been a fan for years. I hope to continue my journey at the YMCA for many years to come.

He needs to be reminded of the FINANCIAL help all of us contribute to the Y and change his attitude. but thanks for all

We just moved to Sacramento from the Pasadena area. We have family here, which is great, but we didn't know anyone else here. Our daughters suggested we try swimming at the Y pool and it's been great. Meeting new people and just getting familiar wirh the Sacramento area in general.
