The YMCA in Johnstown has not just given me a place to keep with my needed heart healthy activities, but has provided me with a wonderful community here in Johnstown! I love the Y and would be lost with out it and the wonderful people who work and visit here every day.
Great facility
Very wide variety of activities for all ages including a walking/running 2-lane track, swim area, large gym, weights and machines area, and meeting rooms. The place is kept clean and healthy. Location and Parking are convenient. The Staff is friendly courteous, and so are the other patrons. They have classes for many different skill and age levels and sports for most levels. This facility is the complete package.
good location, plenty of parking, great staff in every position we have talked to or asked about things. Easy in, easy out. We use the gym a lot, the walking/running path a lot, weight room a lot. Little things like having clean filtered water. Bathrooms are great.
Lots of activities to join in to, as well. We've used the massage room many a time as well as having taken lessons from one of their coaches.
Online access to the schedules and calling up to find out if things are open is easy, as well. A printed schedule also helps us at home.
The amount of things they do for the community is amazing...Seeing the little ones having fun in the gym and swimming pool, the elderly have lots to do there, and an elevator. Whatever your
need is, heavy or light, you can do it at the Y.
I love the pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room. Today I took a water aerobics class and I'm so excited to take more! I also love the shower space and locker room!
Wonderful and helpful staff and am amazing place to be! I am so grateful that I have started my fitness journey in May.
It is a very pleasant place, very nice workout equipment and facilities. The steam bath is my favorite part, though many others prefer the sauna. I like that the facilities are kept clean and in working order, when something gets broken, it gets fixed. I've had many pleasant experiences meeting new people there. It has a friendly atmosphere, and the people who frequent are generally very kind and cordial. I'm very glad that I'm a member, and plan to go on being one in the foreseeable future! Great place!
Convenience, polite staff, clean and good location
I take all the Active Older Adult classes and use the equipment occasionally. The instructors are great.
It's nice to have a track to walk in bad weather.
The facility is always clean and front desk people are welcoming and ready to help.
The Y is a huge asset to Johnstown.

Clean facilities and friendly staff. Always take great care of our kids at child watch while we are working out.
Pablo and staff are great. Activity pool has lots of hours. I'd love to have one lane line up in activity pool for laps all hours, though.Also, women's locker room is chilly.
I like the facility, the location, the walking track, and the equipment. I also like the courteous and friendly staff. All in all, the experience for me has been very positive.
