I truly enjoy the Johnstown YMCA. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff in the weight room are professional and courteous, which makes working out a great experience. My only concern is that the fly machine has been down for two months. For a facility of this caliber, that’s not acceptable. I hope it can be repaired soon so members can continue to benefit from a full range of equipment.
Friendly staff and clean facility
I really love how patient the instructors are while also pushing the kids to succeed. My kid went from slightly terrified to now she wants to go swimming all the time and that was just stage 1! Excited to see where stage 2 takes us!
I like the older active adults classes (silver sneakers) and regularly attend but wish they were earlier as it breaks up my day.
The facility is always clean and staff is friendly and available to help if needed.

Riley was an amazing instructor. Very patient and reassuring. I am happy with my results from taking the class. The only negative was sharing the pool with others not in the class. I felt like a lot of the time was wasted waiting for space to practice strokes.

I appreciate what Caleb has done to turn the sports program around in Johnstown! His work with the kids is phenomenal and his organization and communication is great! Thanks for creating great experiences for youth in Johnstown through sports!!
Many classes offered, nice pool, clean, friendly staff & I am interested in plumages.
Although I am an older adult, the teenage instructor never made me feel ashamed of my lack of skills. She was very friendly, helpful, and extremely supportive of my aquatic journey. The class was very small, so it was almost like a private lesson, and the cost extremely reasonable.

It’s a lot of fun all the people that work there are very friendly and ready to help you with any questions I really enjoy the YMCA been to other facilities but the YMCA IS VERY COMFORTABLE FOR ME
I take 3 exercise classes every week. As a senior I like the convenience of the Y location, the variety of classes, and the expertise of the instructors. The Y has a caring atmosphere- from the friendly faces at the entrance, to the trainers, management and custodial staff. Johnstown really has a gem for the community.
The Y connected me with a personal trainer I really like. The exercise facilities are clean and comprehensive. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Great facility
the people that work there are friendly and helpful. The lap lanes are always managed well and the gym equipment is neat, clean and accessible. Overall, Johnstown YMCA is excellent!

Great atmosphere and it's always clean. Wonderful classes and instructors. I love that there's a lot of space and equipment is spread out. Really enjoy the pool, hot tub and sauna area as well. I've been a member for about 4 years now and it's my favorite place I've ever worked out at.

I love all the seniors classes, cardio, yoga, tai chi, Your personal is very helpful always, helping when I workout at the weight machine. The place is very clean. I love the socialization I get at your place. It makes all the difference in my life. Thank you all.
