The basketball camp @ Parkway Church was great. My grandson loved it and he learned a lot.
i9 Sports is one of the best youth sports programs in Oregon and an incredible asset to our Portland community. The program is built on inclusiveness, sportsmanship, and positive character development, creating a fun and welcoming environment where every child can grow, learn, and feel valued. Steve Wick is an outstanding program manager—always present, highly involved, and supported by an exceptional coaching staff that consistently makes each season a great experience. We especially love the wide variety of year-round sports and camps; even though our son has outgrown some of the leagues, he still looks forward to coming back every summer because of the positive atmosphere and sense of community.

My son had fun and Steve who ran the Cook Park location was great. All the other councilors seemed nice as well. They knew my son’s name and we had no issues.

I liked how the sports are introduced to the kids in a fun and engaging way. The coaches are very friendly and great with the children.

The summer camp has been extremely organized and the communication is wonderful
My son had a great time-lots of fun activities to keep busy. It was really really hot this week, are there no access to indoor basketball courts to cool off an especially hot day? Or have water balloons or something? My son was bright red every day I picked him up. Which shows me he had a great time, but overheated.
It was my son’s first camp and he absolutely loved it! Came home every day excited to tell me all about it.
This activity provided beneficial physical exercise for my five-year-old, and she thoroughly enjoyed it.

Volleyball
Coach? Freaking fantastic! The overall vibe is more serious than standard recreation, but if and when parent help is requested due to being short a coach for the day, everyone jumps in. The refs are fantastic, the facilities are clean, and the kids are genuinely HAPPY! What’s perfect is practice and game is in the same day so there’s a huge ability for kids to make it rather than have mass absences. A huge thank you. Our first year and won’t be our last.
Ronnie Belza! He has been such a wonderful light in our child’s journey and is so incredibly kind to all the kids and families. We are always so grateful for his thoughtful communication and how he warmly steps in to help whenever other coaches are away.
As a family new to organized sports, we felt a bit nervous at first, but the welcoming, relaxed atmosphere focused on the love of the game has been so heartening. Since toddlers can find structure a bit tricky, this gentle approach really put our minds at ease.
Ron and his family are simply amazing, and we feel so lucky to have had this experience!
Very personable with hands on interactions with children and families. Also the integrity of staff in sharing their skills, respect for time management and knowledge of the sport and lastly making the experience fun. My child looks forward to coming each weekend to learn a new skill set.
The coaching staff is patient and encouraging. The are great at directing the kids to help cultivate the love of the sport. They also are open to helping parents work with them outside of practice and games.
They are affordable and easy access. Close to home and low commitment. It’s an easy way for kids to try out different sports for a shorter period of time to see what they like. More about learning the sport and team building than being overly competitive.
The coaches are very nice and patient, I really appreciate it since it is my son’s first time playing sports and he is only 5!
The values and what you guys represent is very beautiful and important. I love how your program helps kids form all background and education be able to have fun in sports. I love how the kids are enjoying themselves and even my husband likes coaching. We are blessed to be a part of i9sports. Thank you
The head coach is outstanding! He is genuinely enthusiastic, encouraging, and clearly passionate about working with kids. The rest of the coaches clearly love what they do as well. While the location isn’t ideal for us distance-wise, we’ve truly been enjoying our time at Palmer Middle School.
The coaches are kind and encouraging and give one on one instruction as needed. Participating in i-9 sports builds confidence and gives kids a space to step out of their comfort zone and try a new sport
