Nice people working there. Clean updated facility. Raquetball courts are mainly what I use there and it's hard to see the schedule online. The old schedule tool was much easier to use.
The staff and the programming. Love all the pickup volleyball and basketball options. Might need more yoga as it books up so fast!!! And always very clean facilities
Hello,
I like the warm safe feeling you get when you walk in through the doors. From the people you meet as you enter to the people behind the desk. I enjoy watching the staff and their kind interactions they have amongst themselves. Even when you get to see the children they are happy and being attended too. The warmth is all around even as you workout the spirt of "We are in this together" is felt. It the culture they have created that stands out.
The aquatic center and the classes
I really enjoy the access to an environment that promotes fitness without a lot of the toxic masculinity nonsense you experience at a lot of gyms. i.e., a more welcoming environment without the macho hogwash.
Convenience
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Clean atmosphere & locker rooms.
Ms. Barbara at the desk on Saturday morning (January 13th) was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We had several questions and she answered all of them and never made us feel rushed. We could tell that she is a genuinely good person and that she enjoys helping people. I hope that this feedback can find it's way back to her/her supervisor because she was incredible.
Seeing everyone having a good time staying healthy.
My home base Y is Northwest Y which is closer to me. I love Taylor's Thrive trips. I enjoy all Thrive group classes but Taylor fills up within 5 minutes of being open for booking. I think you could use a larger room so more seniors could attend. I was first introduced to pickleball at Taylor's indoor times. The outdoor courts are super. I hope to get to attend water fitness when it gets warmer out. Staff is always friendly and helpful. My grandson attended your daycamp for month of August and loved it. He looks forward to coming again.
Love the facility and the programming.
They've hired some really good yoga teachers lately like Susan Kluger, Susan H and Julie F. There's plenty of different activities and class options.
Very clean and new equipment
The instructor Romain is excellent, and I thought I got a great core workout in the barre class. She has great energy and provides alternatives to modify the exercises to suit any special needs.
The staff is friendly and there is motivation to workout with the varying classes and random gifts like tshirts!
I really like the group fitness classes and the group fitness instructors. They are great and I always leave feeling like I got a good workout in.
Excellent service.
Beautiful facility. Friendly staff. Great group exercise instructors.

For decades the Cary Y has provided heartfelt and healthy options for those of us who chose it as well as extensive children’s programs.
Warm Welcoming of all staff that I’ve encountered during my 7 day free pass. The opportunity to exercise in a safe environment.
The YMCA offers quality programs for the entire family. We’ve been members for almost 9 years and it’s been a great experience.
The many programs they offer including water fitness. The professionalism and expertise of the instructors and staff.
The staff, the classes, the youth programs
We really enjoy the pool, I go there often in the winters with my daughters for family swim and to swim laps. The staff is very nice, it's always very clean.
My only disappointment was I did try to take my toddler to the daycare 2x and both times they tracked me down at the pool to come pick her up early because the first time, she was sleeping and when they put her down she wanted to be held. They said she didn't have staff to hold her but there was plenty of staff compared to the number of kids that were there, I'm well aware of ratios that must be kept. The first time I didn't mind as much but I found it excessive that she had to come get me out of the pool because my daughter was sleeping. The first time she came to get me I thought something bad had happened to her. The next day, I tried again. This time it was "music day" and they had turned all the toys around to face the wall/removed toys from day before. It's a nice idea but toddlers don't have the attention span to listen/dance to music for more than a song or two. So once again, she had to come get me out of the pool because my daughter wanted to be held. She doesn't normally need to be held so much but it was a new environment for her so she was adjusting, and the ratios were more than enough teachers per kid. It was just frustrating because now I feel uncomfortable to take her there, even though it was something that really benefited me at the time to be able to get a work out in. The toys need to be accessible, especially for 2 year olds. I had taken her to Kraft earlier in the week and there was no problem, I walked the track and she played and there was no issues when I picked her up. I prefer to swim indoors but gave up because of this. It's typical behavior for a 2 year old and she's been in daycare for over a year so she is okay with being dropped off?
