Love when I get to visit this branch. My only complaint is the shower curtains in the women’s locker room … some are covered in mildew and need to be bleached or replaced.
The basic premise of YMCA which is betterment of our community. I see lots of kids at this gym rather than playing violent video games. Thanks for doing your part to create a sense of community in a time when churches are slowly going out of fashion.
I only come to the NW Cary facility to swim in the outdoor lap pool. My primary Y is the AE Finley Y. I LOVE being able to swim outdoors year around at your facility so I usually start going to NW Cary when our outdoor pool closes in September. I find your facility clean and quite wonderful. I have to keep reminding myself that it is a YMCA because it is so nice that it looks like a private health club. Your staff is friendly and helpful and the lifeguards are generally friendly and helpful. I get that when there are hardly any members at the pool the job can be very boring. Even though AE Finley is old and has its issues, I go there because of the people and the excellent instructors. It is like home to me after being there for 20+ years. I also like that with one Y membership you can use all the Ys. That is WONDERFUL.

I love the instructors, especially for Zumba, barre, water aerobics, Lean and cut, and pilates. It is fun to go to these classes, there is a lot of energy!
Big open weight room with many different types of lifting options
It was amazing! Love your facility so much. Very clean and welcoming. Also the fitness studio was HUGE! There were mirrors and plenty of space and there wasn’t a huge round beam coming out of the ceiling blocking the view of the instructor! Parking lot was a little strange, just a bad design but that was my only complaint. I wish it was closer!
It has so much to offer- exercise equipment, cycling room, yoga, basketball, a lap pool. So much variety of exercise options.
One of the things I like about Northwest YMCA is the people at the front desk seem happy to see you.
The classes and teachers are excellent.
The workout gym is easy to access with walking, cycling and workout machines.
There are always clean hand towels and plenty of bathrooms.
I came here for a few group fitness classes while the YMCA I typically attend was being renovated. I immediately fell in love with the yoga instructor on Saturday morning and the ambience was very calming in the room. The lobby was very welcoming and inviting with a lot of open space, and the locker rooms are very comfortable and clean. Highly recommend.
The place is clean and the instructors are very good. Specially the day care facility which helps us to focus on the session.
