Kerr YMCA is the place to be. The staff is great, pleasant, helpful and most of all kind. They all work hard to serve the people that come to the center. You are able to develop many positive friendships. As a senior is gives me the opportunity to mix with others and that includes all ages. Great place for babies, small childen, young children, teenages, young adults, adults and seniors. Many different activites are available. The perfect place to join.

Well managed with excellent instructors. Wish the coffee machine worked :) Lori, Coqui are excellent instructors. Nice to have another Y that is close.
THE POOL: the water was clean and the pool sides was well organized and visibly neat. The Life Guards: all of them young, courteous, dedicated and incredibly professional. You had the feeling that 'someone' was in charge, and that the guards knew what they were doing. They rotated around the pool, always alert, and always watching the kids and the other swimmers.
My boys (both preschoolers) have just completed a 3-week 6-session swimming lesson. The 4 to 1 ratio of kids to trainers ensured that each kid had time to learn something during the 35-minute sessions. My sons' pool trainers (Keila and another young lady whose name slips my memory) were exceptional -- always smiling, coaxing and encouraging their trainees to "kick-kick-kick."
So, this morning (just 2 days after the end of the last swimming session), I registered my boys again for the next Swimming Lesson starting in the first week of March!!!

There are a lot of opportunities to be able to use the pool, at other YMCAs the pool can sometimes be very crowded, but not in our experience at the Kerr.
