The YMCA isn't like regular other gyms but rather family friendly where everyone has a place.
I like the Y very much but if you don't do something about the parking you are going to lose members.
Location, pricing, classes, child care, and a wide variety of offerings are all excellent qualities!
Love the YMCA! Have been gone for the past month but I love my experience here.
I appreciate the Y and all the amenities it offers. My only concern is the parking situation - particularly after 5PM early in the week. Instead of using the remote lot when the nearby lots fill up, people are parking in unmarked spots - along curbs and on medians - resulting in safety hazards. I've seen several near misses involving both pedestrians and vehicles that were caused limited visibility or blocked sidewalk access from cars in unmarked spots.
I love it. The Alexander Y is a tremendous facility and the deal cannot be beat.

I love the classes I take at the Y...Stacey's step, Jenn's gentle yoga, Emily's cardio step, Matt's strength train together. HOWEVER, a bad taste was left in my mouth by Julie Bradshaw cancelling Friday morning PiYo without replacing it with anything else and offering zero apology for doing it.
