The facilities and personnel make this an outstanding Y. The staff is friendly and well qualified to lead the wide variety of activities and classes offered. The recent 6 lane pool renovation is a huge plus also. I find the patrons to be very friendly as well which adds to the enjoyment. The facility is always clean and that’s an ongoing endeavor by everyone, not just the custodial staff. 5 atars
I have been a member of the YMCA for most of my adult life, and I have been a member of Nir Family Y for about 13 years, beginning when I was living in Southport for 10 years...
Since Covid 2020, it is so nice that the Nir Family Y extended their hours, particularly for the weekdays.
The front desk staff are always so gracious in helping or assisting with equipment set up, and management is receptive to new activities and investing dollars and resources to purchase good equipment for the various sports.
I have told many people about how much I like the Y—variety of classes, well trained instructors who make exercise fun.
It's clean with a friendly staff and great workout facilities.

There appears to be a tremendous amount of staff turnover. Much of that must be attributed to the management you put in place.
