Friendly atmosphere
I love the child care! Ms Marilyn, ms. Charlotte and ms Scarlet are the BEST. They make my kids feel so loved and safe. I love Addy’s barre classes and have recently enjoyed the 9:30 Thursday sculpt class. My only complaint is the women’s locker room is starting to smell bad in the first locker area.

We recently moved to Leland from NY and transferred our membership to the YMCA NIR location. It was the best decision we made. The NIR YMCA has everything we need. We love the hours of operation, aqua fitness classes and had a wonderful experience with the fitness center orientation. I especially love the YMCA app. I also love the text messages and emails the Y sends to make us aware of everything from pool closings, the Y's capacity, community events, and weather related closures. We took advantage of the CPR/AED certification classes the Y organized. We have also made many friends in a very short period of time.
24/7 access. Friendly community with lots of different activities. Childcare. Buildings and equipment in good condition. Sauna, steam room, and hot tub in good condition.

LOVE the clean, "Christian" atmosphere. LOVE the 'no intimidation" in the gym. Instead, everyone has made me feel like I belong as much as some who are "pumping up,' Truly the Y has been a God-send for me. I can do pool exercises which help keep my back / core strengthened, and I can do the gym equipment to help me get in better shape. The Staff are very welcoming and encouraging!
The Y has everything I need to stay healthy and limber. I am a 77 year old woman with multiple joint replacements and the warm water aerobics classes are very helpful for my joints.
