I like the classes for older adults and wish there were more. Peter and Heidi are good teachers. I like that there are no kids running around. There should be a bathroom upstairs.

I love that it’s one place for adults. I love playing pickleball, using sauna and steam room. There are enough weights and and such that allow me to get a good workout. It’s just the right size to feel a real sense of community.

I like that the YMCA has a low income program for low income residents that reduces the membership to half off if you are receiving Supplemental Nutrional Assistance Program, Or Washington Apple Health with the discount I would not have been able to maintain my membership.

The housekeeping/cleaning staff do a superb job!.... it is so nice to have access to such a clean and well maintained facility.

beautiful new facility and i still like the downtown y as well. the people are outgoing and caring. a friendly atmosphere.
complaint: the new locker room showers have only one hook to hang things on and no place to set down the things you need to take a shower. I have to hook my towel over the top of the stall. And what if someone has a heart attack in these new stalls? how would you come to their assistance? It's like being put in a closet.
I enjoy taking a yoga class from Jennifer on Wednesday afternoons.

Love the new addition to the Pearl St. Y. The new weight machines, the kids splashing in the pool, the brightness and cleanliness. Nice staff too.

I love the location and the relative calm of being adults only. Thank you for maintaining the squash courts, they're the main reason for my membership.
This location is near and dear to me. The Y is better than every other gym I've been to. Look forward to my routine every week!
I have been a member of the Tacoma Center YMCA for over 40 years and have an appreciation for the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility and equipment. When travelling and attending other gyms around the country the Y stands above them in every facet. The staff in the early morning is welcoming and personable and the sense of belonging to a community is evident. Many friendships have been formed at the Y as well as business contacts and connections. What else could you ask for?
I really like the not so early spin classes at 9:30 AM. The class isn't too early in the morning or too late in the day. I also like that I have privacy in the locker room. Unlike the Pearl Street Y there are no little boys running around watching me undress or climbing under the stalls while I use the restroom.
