It gets crowded, but you have multiple machines and I can always find one that I use. Very friendly and helpful staff! Jim Skedd
Staff professionalism. Beautiful facility. Free lockers, physical therapy clinic. I am huge fan and contributor.
Positive vibe everywhere! All staff friendly and helpful Like minded people that are members striving for improved health Great programs! Clean well organized environment for working out! Excellent equipment! It's a tremendous facility and very well run I love it!
Love the Ymca! Love Jodi's TRX class and the Commit class in the evenings! So much fun!
It is a modern, well run and well equipped facility.
The facility is well appointed, amazingly clean, and the staff are exceptional. There are so many options for classes and my children absolutely love going there. The Tom Taylor YMCA attracts people of all generations and I love that my kids get to see people of all ages taking care of their fitness.
The employees are always very nice. The facilities are always very clean. A good amount of equipment too. It's always a good experience.
I love the Y! I usually go to 4 exercise classes each week. The instructors are excellent, particularly Sara, and I have made a number of new friends. So the Y is great for my physical AND mental/emotional health.
Coach Lina! She is so fabulous with all the kids. My daughter just loves her. Her growth has been exponential since joining her classes. Lina takes such pride in safety and form. I love that the kids get to progress with the skills but she doesn’t have to worry about competing.
It’s a friendly and fun, community place to get physical! Thank you for making it safe! The experience it fabulous!
We love Sandi! She’s so attentive and helpful. She trained Giovanni so well and my daughter loves swimming because of them
Excellent swim teachers and learned a lot
All the fun activities and programs available to kids!
I very much support and appreciate the mission and purpose the YMCA serves in building communities around central concepts of family, health, and togetherness.
However, the swimming program at the Tom Taylor facility is severely lacking, especially when compared to the program at Silverdale Haselwood.
My son has attended level 1 preschool water acclimation at both locations and I am sad to report that we are very disappointed with the skill of the swimming instructors and the apparent lack of coordination amongst teachers at the TT location.
In one class, my son, along with all the other students sat on the edge of the pool and got into the water a total of three times in the entire class time.
In Silverdale, he is in the water the entire time and is challenged by engaged and enthusiastic instructors. The students are encouraged to try new things and stay in the water the entire time. His is improving exponentially in these classes and he enjoys them very much.
Today, at TT, his class was combined with another class, and three teachers shuffled in and out during the course of 25 minutes. Most of the time, the three instructors chatted with each other while the children sat on the edge of the pool shivering. One teacher would then take one student out at a time while the other children and instructors watched. The students looked bored and cold. One boy even got into the water and held onto the wall three times and the instructor took him out of the pool three times. This doesn’t seem to encourage a love for or a confidence in water activity.
All in all, I would not recommended parents waste their time or energy taking kids to the swim classes at TT. Especially when such better instructors who are engaged and supportive are waiting in Silverdale.
Hope Teresa returns soon. Ignite is not the same as Surge Fit.
We like that there are lots of options at the Y.
We miss Jo in the pool! Our kiddo wasn't showing any improvement until Jo spent some time with her. She was fantastic.
Many Swiss (exercise) & Bosu balls are under inflated.
Terri 9:30 Fri, excellent class (Completr conditioning on 6/7/24)
Great facilities, clean locker rooms, machines in great shape.
I am a motorcyclist and even at age 69 ride to the Y everyday, rain or shine. I can not count how many times I've come to work out and found cars parked in the MC Only area. Today was a downer in that the young man in the Body Spec Commercial Van had set up in our area blocking it from use and knocking back the MC Only sign. We riders know you don't want us parking on the sidewalk next to the building and between the parked cars. To prevent self entitles drivers from taking the MC space all you need to do is install two posts at the front of the area which will allow MC and trikes in or out but prevent cars from parking there. (Diagram drawn with one post shown in the middle of the entrance of each spot.)
Michelle is hard working and a good employee.
D-Day, June 6, 80 yrs ago, was a major event for freedom, nationally & personally. Acknowledging & commemorating it would fit YMCA Values & goals.
Incredibly responsive and caring staff!
I love the steam sauna
It is one of the nicest ymca’s I’ve ever seen. The people are amazing. I love playing pickleball with everyone. It is just a wonderful place for families and it is safe.
Very excellent water aerobics instructors. Friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Front desk greeters are always friendly. The pilates and yoga classes are also great. The classes I enjoy are at peak times and the parking lot is not large enough.
Very friendly staff and variety of activities.
The fitness classes for adults are excellent, the classes on campus and youth sports teams for my son are all very good quality, and I love connecting with the local community within the YMCA community.
The only disappointment with classes for my son is that he had no coach for the recent Spring youth soccer league. Having a consistent coach would have been helpful to encourage his participation and skills. However, Kyle eventually became a regular instructor and he was great with the kids. Kudos to Kyle!
Tom Taylor Family Y is a wonderful place to meet friends and have a positive experience for whatever your goals may be. Perhaps your goals are to improve health, become less lonely, care and share time and energies with Y members and get to feel the acceptance of individuals. I always feel happy, energized, mentally better when I am involved with the staff and members. A place to care and be cared about.
Friendly Staff

From the moment you walk in the front door of Thom Taylor, YMCA you feel the welcoming and caring nature of the staff in this modern facility. The building is organized and clean, and the staff and instructors are helpful and easily accessible. If you like classes, there are many to choose from and the Instructors are skilled. I’m a senior and really enjoy the chair yoga classes and have made friends with other participants. I combine that with a mile around the track and I’m on my way. I would highly recommend this wonderful facility to young and old and in between.
