The Y provides the best Tai Chi class we have ever found, but the water exercise class was a huge disappointment: Very boring.

The facility is clean. The equipment is in great shape. Employees are knowledgeable and friendly. I've been to a lot of gyms. By far, the Y is the best because it feel like more than a gym. It feels like a community.

While it could use some updates, RFEV is wonderful. Has everything we need. The folks are very kind and make an effort to know you. It’s a great community for all.

The staff and program
I like my YMCA as the location as it is well equipped with equipment to assist various exercise routines and special classes like Tai Chi. The staff is courteous greeting at arrival and departure. Clean, well lit and comfortable temperature environment. Adequate and safe parking areas. Availability f Trainer staff. Attendance by all ages including children with preschool and summer programs.
A couple of minor but nagging issues:
1. The 2 analog wall clocks on the entrance floor are out of sync by several minutes.
The Tai Chi class often starts by one and end by the other!
MAY BE THE CLOCK IN THE TAI CHI ROOM SHOULD BE REMOVED FOR COST

2. Ceiling lights for half of he second floor (treadmill side) get turned off, may be are on a
timer or sensitive to daylight. The main desk does not know when the lights go out and
someone from the second floor shouts to let the front desk know. THE AREA STAYS DARK
UNTIL THAT HAPPENS. Often people tolerate and it may be a SAFETY concern.
SHOULD BE AN EASY SOLUTION WITH A TIMER FROM ^ AM TO THE CLOSING TIME
3. I am not 199% sure but the resistance training equipment (push-pull-lift) may not be often
calibrated for consistency! I feel variation in the effort required to operate with same
number of pins engaged..
