I love the friendly staff
While the class schedules really cater to people who don’t work or otherwise can come during the day, I still highly recommend this Plano location because everyone is very friendly and helpful, both staff and patrons. The class instructors are great at making the classes inclusive and enjoyable. One staff person commented that “we really do have a community here” and I think she’s right. It takes a special combination of passion and people skills to create an environment like that. Also this facility seems clean and well maintained.
A spacious gym with quality equipment and good facilities makes it ideal
I love the place. Not only it s clean but it gives you the sense of safety. Everybody is nice and the staff is super helpful. The preschool it’s all parents want; the teachers are sweet and patience. Your child will be safe and happy.
I like the atmosphere and the classes offered for seniors are excellent was are the class leaders.
Clean facility for gym.
The facility is large and there is plenty of cardio and weight equipment, and never a wait. Everything is clean and the staff is very friendly.
The classes at the Y are amazing. You feel a true sense of community in them. My favorites are Strength with Sammie, Yoga with Antonette or Manisha and Zumba with Sarah. I also like that my middle school aged child can work out there.
I like the group exercise classes.
I am so glad that they have a welcoming, friendly group of people to play pickleball with. I drive all the way from Richardson to play pickleball. I wish the Richardson YMCA would get it!

The YMCA Plano is a great facility with a variety of classes and fitness opportunities offered to members. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and provides excellent services to members.

I like the friendly, family atmosphere, overall and the friendly, little "societies" that seem to arise naturally in each of the time frames (e.g., early AM, late AM) at which I have worked out at the Y. That friendliness is largely the effect of the Y staff - from the folks at the desk (e.g.,, Sheena), to the maintenance folks and particularly the training staff (e.g., Prianka). Of course, the Y would not be the same without Paul's friendly encouragements!
Allows my child to work out with my husband & me as a family!!
My son loves the outdoors, but has a hard time making friends. This was a perfect balance of putting him where he wants to be and giving him common ground to talk to other kids! The staff were so kind and helpful.
