Moorland YMCA is a vibe. Like any other city, place, or institution, it's the people that make it special and Moorland Y has the most amazing staff, personnel, coaches, and members. They curate an atmosphere of belonging, encouragement, and community by the people and for the people. When you enter, you are immediately greeted by friendly staff, cool music, and members who have become like family.
The rich diversity of classes, workout equipment, and clean environment are demonstrations of respect and inclusion. As a member you feel supported on whatever part of your wellness journey you may be traveling. But, this is greater than physical health, Moorland supports mental health and emotional health by fostering a sense of chosen family and community through its warmth and caring for others.
Oh, and I like the pool too. I'm sad they cut down all of the older trees by the pool, wamp wamp.

Exercise programs, special events that involved other yMCA's. Nutrition class, blood pressure infomation, water exercise programs in the summer, meeting new people and socialization,

The staff at Moorland may be the warmest, friendliest group in the entire YMCA organization! I was greeted upon entering as if I were a favorite family member!

I signed up with the YMCA because of Keisha. She was absolutely lovely and gave me a wonderful tour of the facility. The staff here truly make you feel like part of a community. They are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The facility is beautifully maintained, and the members create a welcoming atmosphere as well. I love the fact you can use your membership nationwide. It is wonderful. I have recommended the YMCA to many people and will continue to recommend it to everyone I know.
My kid enjoys playing sports for they YMCA . I also enjoy volunteering at the YMCA with his teams! Great dad and son time!

Its nice environment. The people who attend the YMCA are good people, very helpful. The gym is solid with everything i need to get good workouts in. They have a pool and also different events throughout the year for the community.

Staff members are helpful, kind and caring. Well dressed, professional-there’s no loud talking. The music is pleasant. Coffee is always prepared and ready (although I wish they had tops). Fitness instructors are helpful and very knowledgeable about health fitness.
I am pleased with the additional training courses available about health, fitness and nutrition. Food banks are available it’s important when you are on a fixed income.
I like having the option to view classes and sign in online.
I am pleased with the selection of classes offered. Field trips, birthday celebrations it’s just so much fun for Senior Citizens/singles.
Equipment is kept in good condition. I know I can count on the doors to open “ON TIME”
The custodial person keeps the place smelling clean and restrooms are well stocked, and maintained. The office personnel are actively working and visible.
I like the overall environment. I wish they still accepted Silver Sneakers as payment option for membership. I could sure use the help.
