The Diversity, fun food, and events with the families. While helping support one another during sports games. The kids show up to have fun and play in physical activities and the family cheers them on for games.

This is the 1st year we signed up for sports with The Y. It has been a good experience because of the positive environment they set for the kids to enjoy learning/playing a sport.
My son has really enjoyed his first flag football season with the ymca. We will be signing up for he spring acts brown his coach is great!
We play pickle with a wonderful group of people. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful. Staff is also very welcoming and helpful.

I love the location in proximity to my home, the summer camp and sport activities for my children, and the inclusion of on-site childcare services with our family membership. The added bonus is the friendliness of the staff, especially the morning staff when I workout. The availability of personal training, fitness assessments and group exercise classes is also a plus when needed.
I highly recommend the YMCA adult swim lessons to anyone who wants to learn how to swim. The sessions are quick and I have taken the adult swim lessons twice to finally be a confident swimmer. My swim instructor Erin was kind, knowledgable and passionate. He is the best swim instructor and truly cares for all of us learners.
The price was nice. The instructor was gentle but persistent and knowledgeable. Both of my kids greatly improved and went from fearful to comfortable in the water!

One on one attention
We are glad that at the YMCA in Grand Prairie is offering Literacy and Mentoring programs. Children and parents enjoy these combination of programs where in one activity room kids are dancing folklorico while their parents learn ESL, GED, Computer and Citizenship classes!
Plus, or the little ones there is child care a couple of hours daily.
I believe it's a win-win for the whole families attending.
