Member Testimonials
Great opportunity to get a taste of summer camp without leaving home! I was impressed by the steadiness of my daughter’s daily experience, even in the face of crazy weather!
Cross Timbers YMCA is like family, members, staff, and all. It offers a variety of classes (with competent instructors) that anyone may take. Many extra activities are planned and all members may participate if interested.
Starting the day with staff and other members greeting you by name is outstanding.
my child loved the fun and learning new things while out at the lake each day.
Second year for my granddaughter to go and this year another granddaughter went too. They had lots of fun but unfortunately it was the first week and we had all the bad weather and rain. Not sure what the problem was with pick up at the end of the day. It was not good at all. I think some signs out for parents or grandparents picking up would be great showing them to stay to the right all the way down and then it loops to the camp to pick up. The first year it was fine but this year I waited at least 30 minutes or more to get the girls.
The friendly staff, wonderful people who have become family, and exercise classes.
My daughter loved it. She wants to go back. We will definitely come back if weather allows. Thanks!
I liked that we got to play games all day and I loved boating. - Lincoln age 8
I liked doing arts and crafts and boating on the last day. - Colter age 6
Great week!! So grateful for all that they do out there!!
It is smaller than the other clubs but not as crowded - The members that come here are an older demographic which is quite different from the Frisco club but about the same as the Coppell one. Cross Timbers allows me to complete my workout expectations without too many delays unlike Frisco for one - As a member of US Master Swimming I enjoy the seasonal pool at the club, but the availability of lap lanes has been drastically reduced - Same has happened at Coppell with their year-round pool. Overall, I enjoy this club very much.
Friendly staff. Great workout equipment.
Quiet, cozy, and has a good amount of classes and activities
Staff and friends
It has the community of inclusion no matter where your experience is in any of the sports!
We don't make recommendations. If somebody asks about our activity at the Y we always make a positive statement but we do make recommendations.
Everything was very organized and all the children had a great time... luck of the draw maybe but we had an excellent coach
The coaches and staff have the child's understanding by there group age level! Like that the children are taught to stretch before the start of play and when to give them a water break.
The staff is very helpful and the facility is clean and well maintained.
It is competitive but not aggresively competitive.
It is affordable
It is nurturing to athletes
It has been a positive experience. Love the line judges and how everything is ran. Very family friendly, place where games are held also nice & clean. Been an overall wonderful experience.

Everyone is kind and unjudgemental the facilities have been clean each time I have visited the fitness machines are all in working order some which look to be brand new overall the grounds are in excellent condition and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
The staff are very friendly. The friendships are fantastic no matter your age gap.
Do not sell any of the land to that church that has not been in town as long as the Y.
Great friendly people here!!!!
I LOVE my time at Cross Timbers! As a 70 year old member, I feel welcomed, encouraged and loved by all the instructors I interact with. My favorite thing is----no one cares if I do the right moves, wear the right out-fits or sing out loud during classes. They smile and join in with me. That is a true and loving community!!!!!! Bless you all. You make my life worthwhile and purposeful! Y'all rock!
I love the variety of classes you offer.
The staff are all so personable and friendly. I’ve met some new friends which is a bonus.
I would recommend and have recommended The YMCA in Flower Mound.
The ladies at the front desk are amazing. They make everyone feel as if it is home.
The Y has lots of age groups, lots of class choices, a friendly atmosphere, and good instructors. I have been a member for many years.
People who work in early morning time slot are always friendly making the work out more enjoyable. The people that do their work out early in the morning greet you with a”good morning”.
The staff is so welcoming and supportive.

Camp counselors are awesome and very caring and inspiring, instructional, and polite. Really work to build relationships with the campers
