We love it!
Not crowded, clean, helpful staff
I'm so happy there are more kids programs being offered! My kindergartener has been doing ballet. Unfortunately she is just too tired, we might take a break and pick back up in the summer. But I love that your kids classes are so affordable. It's a great way for kids to try things out without a big long commitment.
I attend the 5:30 am weekday classes. Jayce is a great instructor. I was happy to see the 7:15 class added on Saturdays, I enjoy them as well. Ali is always cheerful and supportive. Overall the facilities are well kept, the staff is very nice and I always enjoy the cup of coffee on the way out after a good workout.

I am absolutly in love with my local YMCA! It is always bustling with energy, and encouragment! Managers, floor coaches, class teachers, desk help-- from the front door welcome to the final rep I feel like I am loved and supported. So very grateful for everyone that makes this happen!! WHOOOP WHOOOP!!

It's a great place to work out. Although it's a small YMCA, everyone knows each other. It has helped me gain strength and improve my nutrition. I wish there were more leg and back equipment available and that there was a girls' basketball league. Other than that, the employees are doing a fabulous job.
Friendly, clean. Classes are well run and instruction is excellent.
The people. The space between the machines. The clean bathrooms. The gathering area invites people to sit and sip coffee with friends.

The KidZone has, without exaggeration, changed my life. Being able to take my baby there as soon as I was cleared for exercise allowed me to get back into a fitness routine and restrengthen my postpartum body. Having that time to care for my healing body and mind has prevented the PPD I had with my previous children, without putting extra strain on my partner by leaving him with the kids. The staff are incredibly kind and trustworthy. I couldn't recommend it more strongly for parents of young children to have a moment to care for themselves.
KidZone aside, everyone who works for and visits the Y is so welcoming. I work remote, and often the Y is my only trip outside the home in a day; seeing a small but friendly set of regulars and staff makes me feel a lot more socially connected to Lowell.
The sign up process was quick and easy. Also I have been quite active with the pickleball facilities. Fellow members have been very kind and welcoming.
I love the size of the gym. It's very and gives a great home feeling. My only comment is the hours on the weekends make it difficult to come in and work out. I understand employees need their breaks though!

I'm really grateful for the Litehouse YMCA and the community there. Litehouse is halfway between my home in Ionia and my office in East Grand Rapids. I've enjoyed getting acquainted with the regulars as I become a regular myself! Group fitness classes are so so excellent and I'm grateful for all the instructors I've taken classes with, especially Jayce. With her instruction, I feel confident that I'm using proper form in intense classes to protect my body from injury that would derail my fitness journey while still challenging my body to grow in strength, fitness and endurance. I hope that more people join and or more people who keep their primary membership at a different GR-area YMCA move their membership to Litehouse so that it can continue to grow group exercise options. It seems like the excellent classes are bursting at the seams!
