Very well laid out. Easy to get in and out of with parking. Sometimes worth the drive from downtown Y for that reason.
And there are fans. I’ve mentioned it to downtown Y numerous times to no avail. People are excercising, overheating is not good.
I’ll tell you want I don’t like.
NO ONE, not even staff, is required to rinse off prior to going in the whirlpools or lap pool or family pool.
It is not that difficult and it smart. It would help keep the pools cleaner. It is basic.
I taught water classes at Visser for 20 years and my class participants and I rinsed prior to entering.
Nice and clean Y. Wish the warmer pool had a bit deeper area, the lap pool is usually too cold for me.

I like the pool. The life guards are friendly and helpful. I like the renovations at the Visser Family YMCA. The staff is very friendly and professional.
The coaches are amazing and encouraging. They do a fantastic job of teaching the game. The programming is well organized with great communication.

Clean facility and friendly staff
The people and staff are nice and friendly. The instructions are knowledgeable and helpful. I don't feel judged because it feels like others are there to be healthier just like me. The facility is nice and clean.. There is a nice choices of classes and plenty of machines to work out on.
Originally I started to lose some weight and become more fit. Libby was my personal trainer and she was wonderful. Now I am enjoying the Monday and Wednesday class in the pool with Tammy and she is very good. She works with us and is encouraging and pleasant.
3 of my grandchildren are in lessons this year. 2 had lessons previously. First lesson we were concerned that groups are based on age, not skill level. Seemed like our more experienced swimmers were sitting idle, but instructors were doing initial skill evals. Once evals were done, they were able to give more individualized attention based on skill levels. We have only had two lessons so far this year and second week it went perfectly. There are plenty of instructors and my swimmers are all learning a great deal! We would definitely recommend the Y swim lessons.

I really enjoy the size of the lockers, the temperature of the water used for the showers, the staff and how well everything everything is kept off. It is awesome to have complimentary coffee in the mornings.
I have had the opportunity to try the other facilities in the area, but this is by far the best one of them all. That is why I always keep coming back on to enjoy the facility.
