It's our neighborhood Y. It's friendly, clean, and fun. We get active and have a lot of options for things to do!
I like the staff and the community involvement the Y offers. That is a big plus.
One thing I don't like is that there is no way to find on the website the pool or gym schedule for a given day. This would be an online version of the paper copies posted around the facility. For example, I would like to know when swimming lessons or open swim occur and thereby reduce the number of lap lanes available. The app shows programs and lessons, but not schedules. I find that very frustrating because it should be a relatively easy thing to show online.
Everyone here is very friendly and helpful! From being greeted at the entry to a friendly hello or encouragement while working out, the staff here are awesome! Also, the equipment is modern, well-maintained, and kept clean. I've done a few group classes, but used to really enjoy yoga classes here. It would be awesome to have a steam room and/or sauna, but the hot tub and pool is great as well.

I was impressed by how friendly everyone was.i felt welcomed as soon as I entered your beautiful and clean building. I have only taken water classes so far and I am excited to try all that the Y has to offer
The Wolverine Y is accessible, especially when I have other errands in the area.The pool has limited lanes but there is usually at least one open. Parking is less of a hassle than downtown.
I enjoy walking on the track. It’s a great place to walk no matter what the weather is doing outside. I also enjoy the pool very much. It’s clean and just the right temperature. I can swim around at my own pace. Also the locker room is clean. I haven’t tried any of the exercise classes yet but plan to do so very soon. I sure hope that the membership fee will be free to me through Medicare advantage next year.

The pool
I like all the ways I can choose to work out. There is a nice assortment of cardio and strength training equipment to choose from, along with classes, sports ( paddleball, volleyball...) and swimming. I never get bored.
Facility clean, well-lit, equipment works, personnel friendly and helpful
We love the welcoming clean environment. Kids Zone workers are AMAZING!! All the staff is super sweet! Love the different equipment and class choices.

Close to home, easy parking
Downsides—women’s locker room is freezing for those of us who use the Y to swim, or after showers. Please remember that not all of us have been running on the track or doing things that make us super hot. I think there’s a happy medium for the locker room and you haven’t found it yet.
I feel that the Y is more than a place it work out, it is a second family. To instructors and other Y members. It is a 10 all the way.
