I love the new design and fresh locker rooms and view of the new soccer stadium. Instructors are great and the membership staff are always friendly as you enter and exit. The ramp shared with GVSU is convenient and can’t wait for the sky walk that’ll talk us direct there soon.
It’s a very nice facility, I do wish you guys would add massage chairs and a total body enhancement machine.

I really enjoy my YMCA experience! The facility is great, the staff is friendly, and I love having access to all the equipment and classes. It’s a welcoming and motivating environment that makes me enjoy coming to the gym. It’s truly one of my favorite places to work out!
I have been a member at almost every mid to large-size gym in West Michigan (at some point) over the last 40 years and I honestly believe the Huntington YMCA is as good or better than them all. The only real drawback is the parking.

Facilities are fabulous. Love everything about it...except....the water-free urinals in the men's bathroom on the second floor by the basketball court SMELL unbearably...worse than any port-o-john I have ever been in...I can hardly hold my breath long enough to just wash my hands, and can't be in there long enough to use the bathroom. This has been like this since the beginning. Please just replace with a flushing urinals.

I attended the Community Chat with Maria Moss on Monday 8/24. I appreciated the time but during the 1/2 hour I had before my 2.5hr parking limit was up, the conversation was dominated by 2 members and I couldn't give my comments (neither could other attendees).
My intended comments: the West studio needs 4 small fans mounted to the walls, instead of the 2 huge floor fans currently there. The large fans are very noisy and there are always complaints when they run because some people get too much fan and others get virtually none. I attend the Spartan Y on other days and they have 4 wall mounted fans in their studio.
In the women's locker room, benches that are more steady and a larger number of long lockers would be appreciated. As winter approaches, we'll use the benches more and need room for boots, coats, etc. and the small lockers will be difficult.
On a positive note: the cleaning people in the women's locker room, especially April, do a great job and are always friendly.
The parent/child swim class was a great introduction to swimming for my son! Even though he was apprehensive about getting in the water, it gave him a chance to build his comfort, and he even got in a couple times by the third class. Christine was wonderful and encouraged us to go at his pace. This class is great for parents looking to build positive associations with water and lay foundational skills for swimming.
Victoria our personal trainer is great! She's engaging, thorough, challenging and just a nice person! The parking needs to be clearer that you DON'T take a parking slip from the machine. Otherwise, we like it!

I loved that the David D. Hunting YMCA has healthy options in their vending machines! The facility was clean and well cared for and the staff was very helpful and welcoming.
