I LOVE the classes and the encouraging, supportive atmosphere from the teachers and the other students in the class. I appreciate the variety of classes offered throughout the week so that I don't feel bored or stagnant.
My certified trainer, Pete Kaiser, and the Y team at our tiny Corewell Health Place Y are just fantastic!!!
The classes are great they are like a family to me I enjoy coming I do not appreciate the parking for people that have children that are only allowed to certain time and they have to pay that is not right

Great indoor track! My only suggestion would be to post signs stating what lane walkers should be using! This could easily be displayed by the signs with arrows showing which direction to run/walk in!
I appreciate the sense of community the Y offers. The central location is also convenient. The equipment and facilities are also really great. The personal trainers at the Y are excellent, particularly Pete Kaiser...I have been working with him for almost a year now. His knowledge about anatomy and strength training is wonderful. He is an amazing trainer because of his depth of knowledge, his careful attention to detail, his honesty, and his superb sense of humor.
Very clean facility with all of the equipment you could need! I love the group classes here all of the instructors are fantastic :)
The physical plant is very nice. Equipment excellent. The man at the front desk during the day is the friendliest. Always encouraging. And my trainer Amber that leads the Livestrong program is knowledge and motivating.
Great overall. Would have liked it if recent lap pool closings could have been noted on the schedule. Also if closed, that front desk people know that this is the case. Thank you

The remodel is very nice and the new equipment. The gym has lots of weight equipment and free weights.
My only concern is the cleanliness of the locker rooms. The men’s is typically filthy when I arrive at 5ish pm. This really needs to be addressed, locker rooms should be kept cleaner.
The facilities are clean/wonderful, Rodney is a gem!
My daughter loves the pool/hot tub. I would love an indoor play area for kiddos-but other than that-beatiful facilities, friendly staff and wonderful community.
The amenities, people, community, and staff. This is the best branch. I have had memberships at other gyms as well and the David D. Hunting YMCA is better than the other gyms I joined in the past as well.
I like being around people without having to buy things. It's a third space where you can just be, and get your movement needs in (and relaxation in the hot tub and sauna!), without having to socialize unless you want to. You get to be around all kinds of people. And I love swimming in the pool in Winter, when you can't swim outside!

I love walking on the track and getting to see so much of the sun and outside! The fitness instructors always do a great job, too.
The locker rooms and pool were very clean, organized, and just an overall awesome space to be in; a *very* nice, large facility.

I love the availability of fun classes and I never have to wait for equipment in the gym. The pool and hot tubs are great amenities during the winter months. The ramp parking is easy and I will continue to recommend the downtown Y as long as it remains completely free to members... I am very concerned about what might change once the stadium is up and running next door, but for now, zero complaints!
It offers everything anyone could possibly want. The staff is super friendly! Great location, too.

All the people doing various kinds of exercise energizes me and motivates me to exercise. Friendly, diverse. Lots of great equipment, lots of variety. I can work out, run, and then when I'm hot swim for a while. Or I can play racquetball with a friend.
I like that it is a family-friendly place that has everything I need and is inviting.
I love the dance classes! It’s a great workout and feels like a party:)
