I like that it's located at my child's school so she has a sense of continuity in her day. I also like the consistency of the staff whom she gets to know and develop relationships with throughout the year. I also really like the seamlessness with which my child can participate in other after school activities (enrichment courses, the play) without my having to worry how she's getting from one activity to the next.

I love the great social atmosphere at the Y. There are people of all ages, colors, fitness levels, etc., and EVERYONE is equally accepted. It’s a great place to get a great workout.

I love that kids of various ages get to play together and learn from one another, whether it’s sports, drawing or imagination play. The younger kids obviously learn so much from the older kids, but it helps the older kids learn leadership and how to look out for the littles.

The YMCA staff at our school, CHB, was nothing short of stellar. Ms. Heather and Mr. Parker are excellent coordinators and motivators for the staff and programming. My son loved aftercare and would beg me to let him stay later; he learned drumming, Zumba, how to play Uno, soccer skills, cooperative skills, and Gaga from the YMCA aftercare staff, all with patience and understanding. We feel so lucky that this option is available for our family and to the constant love and professionalism of the staff at CHB.
The Bedt
The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable about each child. The sign out process was always smooth and efficient.
My son gets to play with his friends, and there are opportunities for structured activities.
The staff at my daughter’s aftercare was amazing. She more often then not ask to stay longer!
People are friendly. The pool is excellent. Hours are great. Men's locker room is a bit tight, though.

We came from another nearby YMCA that's closer to us. We tried Montclair for a couple of months and made the permanent change to make Montclair YMCA our YMCA we love that there are 2 pools, the vibe is very chill, the staff is very helpful, the facilities are nice. It's an A+++ across the board
The staff is fantastic. The kids get homework done and then play and engage.

I've always loved the YMCA. Our kids learned to swim there. We've all been members for years. Recently rejoined. I guess I'd say that I love most things about the Y, but wish there were more classes. I'm still getting used to the online sign up system, but it feels like by the time I want to sign up for a class, it's filled up!
To be honest, I've just been showing up at some of these classes anyway.
Also wish the women's steam room tile would be fixed. It doesn't seem like it would be hard to fix those broken tiles in there. They've been like that for years.
Otherwise, love the Y!!!
