What do I like about the Y? - Everything! ;-D
I attend four group senior exercise classes a week. I enjoy both instructors: Jackie & John. Great classes. Good workout and it is fun. I also spend 10 plus minutes either before or after the group classes on the weight machines just outside the gym. Lots of different options at the YMCA.
I have taken several classes that I love. I had a trainer set up a workout plan for me. All of the staff members are both helpful and pleasant. I plan on continuing to use the Y several times a week. After three weeks, I have yet to see muscular changes, but I do have faith that they will come 😊
The pools & water aerobic classes
The pool is super clean the lockers are clean and the showers are too only some people cut their nails and leave them there it is disgusting
Diversity of classes. Quality of instructors.
Very helpful. Instructor Wadley was very knowledgeable and the kids had a great time making their swimming better
Friendly, generally easy to use facility but need more senior exercise and aquatic classes.
Very helpful staff with sign up . great sign up system in place for exercise group classes on the app. Very clean !! Thanks to all who make it such a nice place to visit and stay healthy.
Everything!
Pool availability and the work out area
I really enjoy swimming in the pool.
There's still a very large sense of community there, even after 30 years of membership.
Keep up the good work...
Sense of community.
Pool
Overall good experience. Thank you.
I have a 4-year old daughter and there does not seem a lot she can do in the Park Street Y besides the family swimming. It would be nice if we can have more family swimming time slots.
I also regularly play squash with my 8-year-old daughter. However, what we have in the Y is a Hard-Ball Court, which is not the international standard size. There is a grant to convert a racketball court to an international sized squash court. Please check here: https://ussquash.org/racquetball-conversion-fund/
This page claims that after the grant, "The cost can be as little as $10,000-$15,000 per court!" I am wondering if the Y is interested in such a conversion. I am willing to chip in if the Y considers this and also I can ask around in the Y squash players community if anyone is interested in contributing to this fundwise.
Thank you.

The Nest Place in Montclair
Everything is clean , have a great equipment and people are nice
Friendly staff, lots of programs to choose from!
I think it’s a great reflection of the Montclair Community in terms of the diversity of members. Classes are good especially when it’s a good instructor
I enjoy running into friends - old and new. I finally found a yoga class that I want to attend regularly. It's a good fit.
Staff are very helpful and friendly!
everything except the guy who plays loud music in the locker room this has been going on for over a year this rating is contingent on Buddy doing what he said he would when we spoke and stopping the loud music in the locker room

I enjoy being a member of this community. The staff are kind and helpful. I especially like the group exercise classes, steam room and sauna
