Pool availability and the work out area
I really enjoy swimming in the pool.

I have a 4-year old daughter and there does not seem a lot she can do in the Park Street Y besides the family swimming. It would be nice if we can have more family swimming time slots.
I also regularly play squash with my 8-year-old daughter. However, what we have in the Y is a Hard-Ball Court, which is not the international standard size. There is a grant to convert a racketball court to an international sized squash court. Please check here: https://ussquash.org/racquetball-conversion-fund/
This page claims that after the grant, "The cost can be as little as $10,000-$15,000 per court!" I am wondering if the Y is interested in such a conversion. I am willing to chip in if the Y considers this and also I can ask around in the Y squash players community if anyone is interested in contributing to this fundwise.

I think it’s a great reflection of the Montclair Community in terms of the diversity of members. Classes are good especially when it’s a good instructor

everything except the guy who plays loud music in the locker room this has been going on for over a year this rating is contingent on Buddy doing what he said he would when we spoke and stopping the loud music in the locker room

I like the swimming pools. The pools and the locker rooms are well organized.
In a nutshell, I like the staff there, the very comprehensive amount of exercise machines, and the proximity to where I live. I have several friendships that I have developed and in a comfortable way just plain enjoy making my "Y" visits a big part of my weekly routine.
I've been a member at the "Y" since 1980 and love it !

Great facility, great pool
Love the pools. The women’s locker room is clean, spacious and pleasant. Yoga classes are good; I especially enjoy singing bowls with Terry ob Thursdays.
Convenience, affordability, childwatch
In addition to the fitness equipment and classes, I enjoy the sense of community and what the YMCA contributes to our community
Affordable and I love sauna room although it often not working. Also hope it extends time to 10 pm as used to be.
