Great YMCA location. Too bad we moved to the other side of town!
My husband and I take classes in the art department! We love Pualani’s classes. The groups are fun, no matter which group we have been in. Everyone in that department is friendly, helpful and eager to help with any questions!
After traveling this summer and visiting different YMCAs along the way, we can say that the Hal Welsh East Area Family YMCA is special. Great programming for our kids, equipment that is up-to-date and well-maintained, and a staff that is helpful and pleasant (even at six o'clock in the morning!).

Everything except the pool hours!
It's never overly packed. I can get a hoop to myself to shoot at usually. There are so many options (court, workout rooms, pool) and then a sauna, etc. for recovery.

Friendly & helpful staff. Wish there was music being played during Aqua Blast as there was in the past. Gets a little boring without the music.
Convenienet hours, clean facilioty
I’ve been a member for a few years now and I love it. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are several opportunities being offered every week from movies, scrabble, and so much more. You can also take music lessons if you like. The work out rooms are always clean and organized. My personal favorite is the large swimming pool for laps or water aerobics. There is even a separate pool for the younger ones
I could say so much more but check it out for your self. For the monthly fee you can’t beat it.
