Variety of opportunities
Great classes. One thing I wouldn't get fixed is that the rowing machines need some attention... the shoes get loose when you start rowing and you have to keep stopping to tighten them. Also they need to be cleaned.

Hours, space, variety and the staff
Meeting new people. Different activities that I wouldn’t do by myself. Exercise with people my age. Very happy with the Y.

I'm amazed at how well attended it is. There is always handicapped parking available in the morning, even when the parking lot seems full. The people at the desk are helpful, cheerful, and the instructors are well trained and also helpful and cheerful.
I've only been coming for a few weeks, but I'm grateful to be in the classes. My body feels better already.
I love how comprehensive the Y is - it serves a vast and diverse population of people (age, interests, ethnicity, politics, etc.), and somehow manages to feels safe and inclusive. (Just today, a person new to the NIA class I attend said that she felt "safe," and this isn't the first time I've heard this mentioned). It's a challenging mission, and I'm sure a constant struggle, but well worth the effort. I love the Y.

The staff is great - helpful and friendly. The facilities are clean and there is a wide variety of classes during the week.
There is a wide range of programs available beyond physical fitness. There are so many ways to stay physically fit, either in group classes or individually on the equipment. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I've been a member for a decade and I'm continually amazed at all the ways the Y reflects the good in people. You can tell at lot about a business or org by the employee's attitude. Some places everyone looks defeated ,weary.In some everyone is cheerful like the Y. Maybe the Y makes people happy because it genuinely makes life better for so many. From socializing for seniors to day care so parents can work out ,from pottery classes to teen activities, it's so much more than just weight room, pickle ball,swimming, treadmill, steam room and sauna etc. There's a real feeling of community and belonging .Wish I'd joined a decade earlier
