Lisa's Hydro run class and Denise's Water walking class! Good workout and ended up with new friends too!
Last year, I had my knee replaced and I could not get past 70 degrees flexion even at 7 weeks in. With surgeon permission, I started walking on the track with trekking poles to help build stamina and a normal gait. I worked on flexion in the therapy pool 6 days a week. I used the lazy river and the lap pool to build muscle strength. The other patrons and the lifeguards were all very encouraging and supportive and I finally made the progress I needed. I know that the Y made all the difference in my outcome.
I love that it benefits me in so many ways; socially, emotionally, mentally and physically.
Everything!
Cheerful & personable staff. Flexible schedule & clean facility
I am a USA Pickleball Ambassador and I work closely with Maddie Hale who has been very helpful in securing more court time for pickleball players. She’s a pleasure to work with and understands how many Y members join simply for the pickleball offered at this Y.
Also your front desk staff is always welcoming and helpful. I enjoy the use of the track and the workout equipment too. Keep up the good work, everyone!
People are friendly, and most of the classes are fun. I particularly like the extra things like food drives and clothes drives and toy drives that benefit the community.
Pickleball courts and exercise equipment and walking tract.
The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Seems to be well run. Lots of variety of programs for different interests.
Love the Y! Will be using it a lot more this year.
Staff
I meet friends and I do exercise and swim.
The facility and staff is very welcoming. They have great water classes and great AOA classes with great instructors. I love the track. I can walk no matter what the weather. There are many clubs activities for older adults. When I walk into the the building I always feel welcome. The gathering area in front is great with hot coffee waiting.
I like everything about this Y and would give it a 10, but I just can't get past the, in my opinion, lack of cleanliness of the men's locker room/showers. I would think this part of the facility's appearance would carry a higher standard.
The variety of ways I can stay in shape. The staff is always helpful and friendly.
to visit any time of day and be safe....
Wonderful staff and programming!
It’s a great facility, and the employees are very friendly. I go there to do lap swimming & love the pool!
The workout spaces are kept very clean. If not by members, then by staff.
Every time I go, I see a staff person with a spray bottle and paper towels, ensuring the equipment and surrounding area are clean.
I love the y! The pool and gym keep my back from aching. The people are so friendly and happy! Everyone has a nice smile and a good morning! The walking river makes my week so many great people all happy 😊 singing, laughing and talking having a great time! The instructor DENISE MAKES EVERYONE SO HAPPY!!! GREAT FUN!
All the equipment necesssary for fitness, and friendly staff.
The Northwest Y is a great place to exercise and swim. They have classes for everyone and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The friendly atmosphere.
Group classes
The facilities are always clean. To me that is very important.
The lap pool and the availability to swim during my lunch break..
So many different activities for all levels of skills. Facility can be enjoyed by different age levels. Classes are “ walk-in” and instructors are accepting and encourage modification of the activity (ex yoga) so it can be enjoyed by everyone. Staff are so friendly!! Say hello and goodbye.
Modern facility, friendly staff, steam sauna, blossom pressure machine
Closeness and classes offered
The classes are very comprehensive, the staff is always helpful, and people are very easy to get along with also.
Only drawbacks I have is that the track is not very clean lately, the mic in the mind/body room does not work so I cannot do virtual yoga classes and I wish that the yoga classes were more desciptive and consistent. Sunday mornings class is the most problematic. The same instructor can do a more gentle class one time and a very hard class the next. When you go in for a class you need to know what you are getting into.

Great family pool event. Thank you
