This is our second child to attend the Northwest pre-school program and we are devastated to find out that the program will not be held next year. Miss Lee and Miss Mandy are like family and care for the children as if they were their own! The kids have such individualized attention and that allow for their strengths and weaknesses to be attended to. We cant say enough good things about this program.
My daughter is always excited to go. I’m very comfortable with her teachers who are always so warm and welcoming to all the kids.
The question is what do I like about the NW Family YMCA Before and After School experience, but the question could better perhaps be posed as what do I find favorable and less favorable? I utilize this program because I teach next door and do not reside in the Baldwinsville school district, however one of my three children attends school at Elden Elem. So, I utilize the service provided for the morning program out of necessity. My child is there for about an hour or so daily in the morning, then released to go to the classroom. My child's only complaint about his experience is "since Anthony left, we don't get to go play in the gym anymore...we only go outside." I am not in attendance at the program, so all I can go by is my child's opinion. I do feel as though my child is safe and sound at the program. As far as the sign-in procedure that just rolled out about a month or two ago, I get it...but that really seems just necessary for pick-up. I am a survivor of domestic violence and once had a child with a protective court order, so I understand precaution (maybe more than others). But, anyone should be able to drop a child off. Next year, it may be convenient for my child to walk over to Elden from Baker on his own and check himself in. I do not see why my presence and/or signature would be required for that. Perhaps this may qualify as an exception for the rule, but I just figured I would share my thoughts with you so you may consider it as reasonable feedback

We enjoy the opportunities for work-outs, and classes. The facility is kept very clean. We really appreciate the politeness and assistance of staff and other members. It would be nice if the cleaning of machines and mats would be a universal practice. The disinfectant spray is very harsh on skin.
Our daughter has had the BEST experience at the before and after program through the Y at Van Buren. She loves the staff and the activities they have planned throughout the school year. We are so thankful for the amazing staff at the YMCA program for providing her with a safe and pleasurable experience!

The teachers and staff are excellent - any time there's been an issue - it's been addressed. Very pleased !
I like how the kids get along but I noticed the staff is rude and doesn’t interact with kids in games
The friendly, helpful staff and the cleanliness. A variety of classes, especially aquatic offerings.
The staff is friendly and helpful and the facility is clean. I have just returned post Covid and am glad to see there is another recumbent bike. I'm usually there around 1:00 in the afternoon and it's not too busy so I can take my 75 year old time on the machines!

We love it!! We used to go to LA Fitness and there is NO comparison. The staff are friendly and helpful and the facility is kept unbelievably clean!!

I am exactly halfway between the Northwest Y and the North Y. I usually go to the North Y but I love the lap lane pool at the Northwest Y. Also the locker room is more spacious. Staff is very friendly at both Y's.

Clean facilities. Lots of group classes. Indoor track.
The facility is bright and clean with ample parking.The staff is friendly and helpful. There are a wide variety of program options that include a well equipped art facility, exercise rooms and a beautiful pool.
My boys love to go and practice their sports. They are now reaching the age that they want to start working out which is awesome because it is teaching them to take care of themselves and their body.
They have made a few new friends at the Y and the staff is extremely friendly.
We also like some of the classes that are offered. Unfortunately we have not been able to partake in them due to our schedules but hopefully soon things will fall into place for that.

The YMCA is a very friendly place. The facility is super clean and has just about any type of program adults or children would want.
The spaces for different exercise options and courts for play and practice of skills. The pool and water exercises options are tops.
Clean locker room and fitness center. On-site personnel in the fitness center.
The staff is friendly and helpful, the facility is clean and not overcrowded. Love it!

Staff is great. Love the pool. Lots of equipment, and various exercise classes. So much going on at the Y. I call it my club. Ie I am going to the club.
Good classes and facilities nice people
Love having the indoor track. Your equipment is up to date and kept very clean. Haven't had a chance to use the pool, but the locker rooms and pool area look very clean as well.
