My husband and I have been exercizing at the East Palo Alto YMCA for several years, usually 3 times/week. It's a really nice facility - very well kept and a great variety of machines, also the staff is excellent.
I do not participate in these: just use the showers.

I've only had the opportunity to partipate in a couple of classes and I enjoyed them very much. From what I've read there seems to be a lot of activities available

Yoga classes
It's a great atmosphere to work out. Very clean and nice employees that are happy to answer your questions.
Big range of activities for beginners like myself.
Our family likes Pilates classes although we wish there was a second evening option. We also like playing basketball during open court time. We enjoy the pool several times a week when it's open in the summer. Our kids like the after school science camps in the past.

Great workout center. Nice people.
I like the family weight room, but would love to have some free weights in there. I love the juijitzu class, but realized the other day that it is not in the printed schedule.
The staff is friendly, and I always feel welcome at EPA YMCA. :)

Love the Spinn class teacher Carol, the class - positive environment, inviting & unintimidating atmosphere at the gym in general. Makes exercise fun!
Not overcrowded. Nice pool in summer. Nice people and helpful staff. Clean. Close to home. Bad traffic however.
They are very diverse. There is something for everyone..

This is a very nice facility and not too crowded. Everyone from the staff to the members is really nice. The kidscare is a great asset to attending and is well liked by the kids.
There is a nice variety of group exercise classes and some really good kids programs especially summer camp and basketball.
That it is within the community where I live. The staff is friendly. The Y offers a variety of classes at different times and days.

Variety of classes. That I can use my membership at other locations , like Palo Alto location. The environment is very welcoming and friendly , diversity of people. Wish they opened earlier , at least 5:30 am.
