There is something for everyone at every level.
The East Palo Alto YMCA is truly a community -- much more than just a place to show up and work out. Every program that I want is offered at this site. The trainers (particularly Jamar) are the heart of this place. The staff knows each person individually. And the instructors are of the highest quality: Bonnie, Allen, Kevin, Hector. Tony keeps the gym and the studios spotless while he is on the floor - the trainers don't just sit at the desk staring at the computer.

I mostly just use the exercise equipment, but I like that the staff are all so friendly -- they always greet me when arriving and leaving -- and that it's never so busy that I can't get access to the equipment I want to use. And it is well-maintained: light, bright, and cheery.

I love the step class held on Monday evenings and Ripped on Tuesday's. The staff is always welcoming and extends a warm greeting
We only use the gym for our own personal workouts, so none of the programs or activities are of interest to us. What we like most about the gym is the small number of people and the relatively quiet atmosphere during the afternoons, when we come for our workouts. Much nicer than the Y on Ross Road, where we started out, and also closer to us.
I attend a few classes on a regular basis. I like the location of the exercise room, bright, with big window.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful.
I use the elliptical weekly; I have taken Zumba classes and currently taking stretching and strengthening classes. The staff are friendly and everything is very clean.
