I love the steam room but I get uncomfortable when it's down but another thing I like is the pool.

I had a membership for many years. I was intimidated so never used it. I finally decided to use it and get healthier. Everyone is so friendly, and the atmosphere is great. I'm glad I decided to use my membership after so many years.
Open 7 days per week. Swimming, track, weight equipment. You really get your moneys worth at the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA.
The facility is kept clean and well maintained. The staff is helpful and respectful. The classes are great and there's a wide variety of activities to chose from.

Got my membership 9 yrs ago after broke my leg in 5 places. After doing 100 days in rehab, n mclaren pts at my jome..took 10 mos to walk with cane. Dr. Kurdy advised me to walk the current to speed femur strength...worked good.after some time, stopped going.started up again after still kerping my membership n paying all these years.now 74yrs old, n need to strengthen legs, n balance.have a friend to come with me now. So starting to get to pool more often.such a beautiful pool.my only concern is that most times when we come to walk, there are so many kids with googles on swiming underwater around our legs. Splashing us..as parents ignore..we come 6:30-7:30pm.they ignore splash pad n even infiltrate big pool that has vera size going on.sad
I like the 24/7 room it's quiet and you can just get in and get out without having to wait for machines it is kept clean. The workers at the door are friendly when you come in. I feel welcome when I walk through the door.
Am able to exercise so much easier in water for classes
I have wonderful experience, all members are respectful, I feel safe working out here, no judgment eyes, smiley face. I am grateful for this to have in my community.

The paddleball courts, the cleanliness of the workout areas! Also most of the members are great people and the front desk staff are always friendly and very helpful!
I would suggest adding at least 1 or 2 cold plunge pools by the hot tub.
